Hands down, The Princess and the Frog. As much as I really liked Up, The Princess and the Frog is my favourite film of the year thus far (we'll see if Up in the Air, Avatar and Nine blow me away).

i chose PATF. up looks intelligent but it actually contains a simpler plot than patf. it felt like one of them best picture wannabes,all glossed up.im not hand drawn biased btw.i think patf's animation is uneven,unbalanced and so-so. but the level of entertainment and quality it holds despite its flaws are notwithstanding

i havent seen coraline, i bought the dvd but everytime i watch it i fall asleep.i might watch it sometime this weekend.

UP. I loved P&TF but it's not even close.

Up. I adored The Princess and the Frog, but Up really struck a chord with me personally.

That is ridiculous! UP isn't a "best picture wannabe". It's an excellent film, worthy of Best Picture status! The reviews and the returns don't lie.

Up deserves too and probably will win.

I haven't seen PatF yet, but UP definitely deserves to win.... not just another amazing entry from Pixar, but an animated masterpiece.

I have to be perfectly honest here...

I haven't seen Princess and the Frog yet. But I seriously doubt that in terms of story it will be able to compete with Up.

The story of Up is anything but simple. Its more than just an old man who goes on a wacky adventure. Its about the fulfillment of dreams, upholding the memories of the people we loved and enjoying life even during its dullest moments.

It plays heavily with the emotions of the main characters and the audience, and it does so wonderfully with heartfelt music and stunning character animation. Yes, it has flaws. But they are minor compared to how majestic everything else is.

I have watched it more than three times and it still leaves an impression in me. If anything, out of all the movies that were considered for best picture nominations I say Up deserves it the most. Sure, The Incredibles was great, so was Wall-E and Ratatouille. But Incredibles was too action focused with somewhat minimal story and Wall-E starts great, but kinda loses its way during the middle of the film.

Up, however, maintains its focus from beginning to end, always creating a laugh and a tear in people without one overpowering the other.

If prefer Princess and the Frog over Up, that's fine. Its a matter of personal preference and that's something that is hard to argue. But let's not cloud our judgement and give each nominated film credit and see which one truly deserves the award.

Just because Princess and the Frog is a great return to hand drawn let's not start going crazy and saying it should win everything.

That's my two cents.

What's interesting is The Incredibles was the film that inspired me to want to get into the animation field. It's intriguing to me to read it isn't a lot of people's favorites but it changed my life forever.

Up for sure. I can't even begin to describe how much this film affected me.

Since I have not seen TPATF yet, I am going to vote for Up. Even if I had seen TPATF, I probably still would've voted for Up.

Don't get me wrong. I think The Incredibles is a great movie with some rather strong words about family life, your work ethics, loyalty and the value of heroism. Just saying that its eclipsed by the great action sequences.

As for Coraline... I'm sorry, the only award it deserves is one for visuals and 3D effects.

Yes, it was a good movie, but I didn't think it was GREAT. The visuals were astounding that's for sure, and anything to keep stop motion animation alive. But I just wasn't as enthralled. The story felt cold and the characters unappealing. I know people will disagree with me, and I won't argue that.

Oh, man! I just can't choose, because I love them for different reasons! "Up" was the best of the new, and TPatF was the best of the classic..... And I love them both. Oh well, I'll vote for TPatF just because I'm in a TPatF mood right about now. Yeah, and I think I did enjoy it a bit more, I mean it is the start of a new era for Disney after all.....

I voted for P&TF because I think it deserves to win slightly more. I'm not a fan of Pixar so much, but I did enjoy Up. I think Up has a better chance of winning though...

It's tough for me to choose a favorite Pixar film, because I truly do love them all, but, The Incredibles is among the top tier. Excellent film, and I never tire of it!

Up is gonna cream the competetion regardless just because "it's Pixar"

Though I must say The Princess and the Frog is a VERY worthy and tight competitor. I would be both shock and thrilled if that beats Up. I still doubt it though.

That's bull, and you know it! If UP wins, it won't be because of what company made the film. It will be because it deserves to win. I am so tired of this attitude that some people have against Pixar. They are now owned by, and a big part of Disney. Get over the idea that this is some sort of competition between Disney and Pixar. They are now one and the same.

I have to say "Up". I have yet to see "The Princess and the Frog", but I doubt it can beat "Up" in my mind, no matter how good it is.

And "Coraline" really doesn't deserve to win. Apart from its lovely visuals, it did nothing for me.
