Does anyone know if the spanish dub on the diamond edition dvd if Snow White is the 1964 Edmundo Santos dub or the really bad 2001 one?

Unfortunately it's the new 2001 dub. It is to my understanding that Edmundo Santos' dub will never be released on DVD.

Man, that is so unfair!

This is actually a form of discrimination. Can you imagine if they re-did the voices in english?? Seems like the spanish speaking world doesnt deserve the same respect as the american audience.

Poland got a brand new dub for the Diamond Edition, and for once it's a new dub that doesn't suck, but I agree the Edmundo Santos dub is very good.

I have to admit Snow White's new dubbing doesn't suck. Unfortunately, it lacks magic the 1938 version has.

Was it the first redub of the film in Poland? If so, you're lucky enough to have your first on the previous DVD-release.

Yes, it was. The 1938 dubbing has been released in 2001 on DVD.

Other Disney classics got redubbed in mid 90s. They didn't get the chance to be released on DVD.
VHS copies, the ones with first dubbings, are in poor conditions.

Hmm there was actually another Polish dub of Snow White done in 1947, but it was only used in that re-release because for the next release they went back to the original dub.

I heard about that one a while ago. Even though Wikipedia lists it, it's hard to verify whether this version was made or not.

I don't know what your source is but I will be more than happy if you bring more light on the subject.

My source is the same as yours the Polish Wikipedia.
