"Roughly 100 Adult Swim episodes will be available in a DVD manufacturing-on-demand (MOD) program starting Nov. 16, Cartoon Network Enterprises said. The goal is to add every episode of Adult Swim original programming by the end of the year, according to Cartoon Network Enterprises SVP Christina Miller.

“Call me optimistic, but I don’t look at this as a challenge, but as an amazing opportunity for our fans,” she said. “We’re getting out of the gate quickly, and our program is unique in that it allows our fans to do more [than other MOD programs].”

For $20, visitors to AdultSwimShop.com can fill up a 110-minute DVD with episodes from “Aqua Teen Hunger Force,” “Robot Chicken,” “The Drinky Crow Show,” “Lucy, Daughter of the Devil,” “Sealab 2021,” “Tim & Eric Awesome Show” and “Great Job!” and have that DVD shipped to them within two days.

Consumers can choose artwork for the DVD case, disc face and menus, and name the DVD.

Miller said Cartoon Network might eventually give consumers the option to add bonus features to their Adult Swim MOD DVDs.

“As soon as everything is up and running, we’ll look at those possibilities,” she said"

I like MOD in theory, but nothing's come that way that's been a must-own to me. I guess if you're able to mix and match episodes from different shows, this could be cool. Otherwise, it doesn't really make sense to pay more to get what would no doubt be an inferior extras-free presentation than to just get the already inexpensive season DVDs.

I don't care about this and could not get one if I did, as it is US only right now. But I do find it funny that Home Media Magazine think that "Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” is name of two different shows. Yes it's a dumb title and would make more sense to be the names of two different shows, but does no one do any research anymore?

I'm excited by the idea, but want it in other areas. There are a number of shows I don't want complete season sets, but the ability to mix and match episodes I do like really speaks to me. Great idea, but it need to cross over into other areas.

I also think it could be a great idea for movies and bonus content. People could pick the special features that they want with their movie.

I thought "Tim and Eric, Awesome Show!" and "Great Job" were the same thing...."Tim and Eric, Awesome Show! Great Job!" That was a wierd show......

But, yeah, that's a really neat concept!
