This better not be real.

When will Hollywood learn to stop remaking classiic cartoons into lousy live action movies (First Garfield, then Alvin now this :P )

Actually I figured it was only a matter of time before they got Yogi.....with Scooby Doo Movies and The Flintstones......so....

who knows this might be good....but I still think the new Chipmunk 2 movie trailer looks good....more promising than the trailer did for the first movie.....

I bet soon after this they might be making a Jetsons movie...didn't I hear that somewhere online that it was in the works and Steve Martin was going to be George???

Yeah, The Jetsons Movie is already greenlit with Robert Rodriguez set to direct. That is actually the rare live-action cartoon adaptation I'm looking forward to. I think they could some interesting things with that.

Bah, I love these kinds of films when done right! Granted, they are often too flawed, but they don't have to be. I loved the Chipmunks movie and can't wait for the second. So sad, but only a few casting issues ruined the Flintstones movie (the horrifying Betty casting and the too old Pebbles and Bamm Bamm casting; the prequel actually was quite good, I thought). As for Yogi, I'd love to see it if it's good, though I would have thought Aykroyd would be playing Mr. Ranger. Can't imagine him as Yogi at all. Can't picture how Yogi will look either.

And as for the Jetsons, I've been waiting to see that forever too. Any news on the casting? I will riot if they use anyone other than Tim Allen as George and Danny Devito as Spacely. Then again, they might have waited too long to use those two.

I just found this....Robert fell through

http://screenrant.com/the-jetsons-movie ... oss-32868/

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ ... s/?a=11517

and they wanted Jim Carrey to Play George???????? Im a Jim Carrey Fan and I think its a bad idea...maybe not.....though he meets the look a like contest maybe....

Yeah....I am looking forward to that.....I mean if the people in the 90s can bring the stone age family to life on the big screen.....surely we can do the one that was ahead of our time....

I wonder who'll play Elroy.....at one point I said the kid from Stuart little but he's not a kid anymore....so.....they if they want to save some on profit....it should be th following:

Elroy- Played by both Sprouse twins from Suite Life or Moises Aries (Rico from hannah montana)

Judy Jetson - throw these names into a hat and pick one....Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus.....Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Vannessa Hudgens, or Ashley Tisdale.....(either of these would be okay I suppose)

Now I wonder who'll play Rosie the robotmaid.....perhaps Rosie O'Donnel...I mean she was Betty in the first live action Flintstones....so why not in this....

Danny Devito would make a great Mr. Spacley....... :P

Astro should be done in the cgi way of Scooby Doo....voiced by whoever does Scooby Doo but tweak it a bit,

Jane - Is Bonnie Hunt still in the runnings for that?

Yes, O'Donnel would definitely be better suited to play Rosie. And I'm sure Disney would be a good place to look for a Judy, or ABC Family, ha, but I don't know about the ones you mentioned. They may be the most popular and the ones who would draw in people, but I just can't seem them as Judy. Hunt doesn't fit Jane for me either, but I'd really have to think about both of those. Definitely, Astro should and would be done like Scooby. I personally liked the Scooby movies, though they had issues no doubt. Shaggy and Scooby were great though, and Daphne and Velma for the most part, ha. The stories/writing weren't all that great though (but still fun), as it wasn't enough about being true to form with the old show. The second film was closer and the direct to video prequel was the closest, though I didn't care for a couple things in that either (like Daphne wasn't anywhere near pretty enough, ha, and Fred had dark hair?!!).

My personal casting choices:

George - Steve Carell
Jane - Kristen Wiig
Elroy - Max Records
Judy - Emma Stone
Mr. Spacely - Danny DeVito

Carell would work for me. As much as I'd love to see Emma Stone in a Judy costume though, I don't know, I think her voice or something wouldn't fit for me. I see Judy as being too much of a cutesy, girly-girl type and I think I'd have the same prob with Emma as I had with Tiffany in the Jetsons animated movie. She just didn't sound like Judy at all to me. Emma would be much better than Tiffany was though, ha. She could work, but I think there'd be better choices... maybe.

Steve Carell, now that I think about it, would be a great Mr. Ranger, ha.

Someone else online suggested Stephen Colbert for Ranger Smith. That might be the only way I'd consider seeing it.

Everything Colbert touches turns to epic win. I will be seeing this if he is in it. :D

So, this is the family film that's set to directly compete with Tron: Legacy. I swear to everything that's logical, if this film grosses more, I'm gonna throw a fit from here to Sarah Palin's backyard.

WB stop ruining perfectly good H-B shows. No Jetsons, no Jonny Quest, no Hong Kong Phooey, no Tom & Jerry, no Yogi Bear, no more Josie and the Pussycats, no more Scooby-Doo, no more Flintstones, no anything. That is all.

---

And Dan Akroyd... ugh.
