I just want to take this time to thank all veterans that have served, thank those servicemen and women that are serving, and remember those that have made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you and you will be remembered.

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

— Lt.-Col. John McCrae (1872 - 1918)
PS: If you can, attend a Remembrance Day ceremony or Veterans' Day event today. I'm heading out in a few minutes to attend a Remembrance Day ceremony and to observe the moment of silence at the 11th hour.

Lest we forget.

Happy Veteran's Day everyone! And thank you so much to all our Veterans out there!

I'm feeling kinda guilty I guess. Today I was in Arby's with my dad and my brother and this old guy was out with his wife and a child around 7 or 8 (most likely their grandchild) and the man was wearing a hat. It said "WWII Veteran" and I wanted to say thank you, but I felt awkward/embarrassed! I didn't know what to do, so I didn't say anything.

I was actually sitting in a very noisy (and eventful) dentist's waiting-room at the 11th hour but still tried to pay my respects. :)
