Meh. That's really all I can say. My biggest complaint is that they are showing movies that do not even have anything to do with Christmas.

I agree about the non-Christmas movies. They do that with other holidays too. It's super annoying. I remember when the 25 days of Christmas was largely classic Christmas specials. That was so awesome. I wonder if they're going to show any of those this year, even if I do have most of them on DVD by now, ha. Cartoon Network sometimes is in the spirit with that sort of stuff too. I suppose Boomerang would be better, but I don't get that one.

...does no one else have cherished memories of gathering with the family on a wintry Christmas eve and watching the festive hijinks of "Tarzan" or the classic "Home Alone 4"?

Most of us already own or have on VHS or some other format 25 Christmas movies or specials. I know that I do, and I have my own 25 Days of Christmas.
Movies and TV Specials include:
Mickey's Christmas Carol
It's A Wonderful Life
Holiday Affair
The Polar Express
Elf
Santa Claus The Movie
Die Hard
Die Hard 2 Die Harder
Prancer
TV Special Box Set (Santa Claus is Coming To Town, Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman)
The Grinch (Who Stole Christmas)
The Chipmunks Christmas Special
Miracle on 34th St. (the original not the lame remake)
A Christmas in Connecticut
Santa Claus Conquers The Martians
A Muppet Christmas Carol
A Very Merry Muppet Christmas
Trains, Planes & Automobiles
The Jack Benny Christmas Specials (3 different 30 minute shows)
The Star Wars Holiday Special (I have a great copy on DVD)
The Santa Clause
The Santa Clause 2
The Santa Clause 3
Holiday Inn
White Christmas
Going My Way
Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol
Scrooged!
A Christmas Carol (several different versions, I own four)
Home Alone
Home Alone 2
Just scrounge around your movie collection you would probably be surprised at how many holiday movies you do have.

What's worse is that they seem a bit eager to start it 3 weeks before the 25 Days begin.
I'm pretty sure they'll still air the Rankin-Bass specials, though.

It's not THAT bad, guys. It's not as bad the Wiz-Tober Halloween special on Disney Channel, where half of the movies weren't even Halloween related. At the very least, only a handful of movies aren't Christmas related, and some of them do have a magical, Christmas feel to them (like Nanny McPhee and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).

Theyll definitely air the Rankin Bass classics closer to christmas, they always do...
I have no problem with non Christmas movies, i think they idea is to just play movies that get the whole family around the TV... Im pumped to watch The Chronicles of Narnia tonight...

Then if that's the case, it should be 25 Days of Movies That Get the Whole Family Around the TV. If I had a film festival entitled "25 Short Films About Waffles" and then showed naught but non-waffle Westerns (of which there are many), Wafflephiles would be understandably annoyed.
