Well, it was announced at TVShowsonDVD.com that they will be releasing the first 13 episodes of Glee in a 4-Disc set.

I don't know if I should get this and pick up Vol. 2 later, or just hold out for a full season set release.

Anywho, here it is:

Knowing Fox, it might take them forever to release a complete Season set. They love small sets with fewer episodes (look at what they do with Family Guy), so I guess they wanna milk their costumers.

Anywho, I already pre-ordered my copy, because I want to get my little hands on those episodes as soon as I can :D

And what I am really excited about is, that the Pilot Director's Cut is included.

Woah! While I'm excited that Fox believes in such an amazing show, they should also try and promote an equally great show, Dollhouse! :P

Isn't "Dollhouse" pretty much DOA by this point though?

No Blu release? That's a downer. I was planning to get some complete season set on Blu-ray, but I'm not sure if that'll happen or not. I don't know much about Fox, but apparently they don't like season sets. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I'll hold out for a full season blu. Knowing Fox, they're gonna milk this as much as they can...

Quite the opposite. Other than American Idol, Fox is known for not promoting their shows barely at all.

The resemblance is uncanny.

You're wrong, B. Glee has 12 squares, Hairspray only has 10. And one of them is crooked.

I was thinking the same thing about the Hairspray cover!

I'm actually glad it's already getting a partial season DVD release, the show is so good that I don't want to wait until Summer 2010 for the whole shebang.

Hopefully they either do a simultaneous Blu-Ray release or they release the full season 1 Blu-Ray when volume 2 comes out. Either or. But I'll probably hold out for Blu with Glee.

Two of my other favorite shows, Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty, are not on Blu yet either. I think most studios are severely hesitant to release television series in the format until it really, really catches on. Some shows that were HUGE hits on DVD like Lost and Battlestar Galactica are getting season sets in blu now though.
