6th Annual UltimateDisney/DVDizzy Forum Awards - Ceremony

Welcome one and all to the 6th Annual Ultimate Disney Forum Awards! Tonight, we celebrate the many changes we've all seen over the last year and the fun we've all shared. Ultimate Disney has become the ultimate source for everything in 2009, with our cozy community being your one-stop shop for discussion ranging from slipcovers to song covers and all the untold randomness that falls between and beyond. These ceremonies have typically ended in bloodshed (be sure to visit our new memorial for the fallen on your way out) with our fearless correspondent, <strike>ichabod</strike> Joan Rivers keeping us abreast of the chaos. With a little luck, she'll be back this year, though her battle wounds have rendered her hopeless even to plastic surgery. I'm back too, honored again to serve as your host. So as you filter into the hallowed Off-Topic Hall, take a seat and get ready to applaud some of the very best of Ultimate Disney and DVDizzy.com.

And now, without further ado, let the ceremony begin!

Signature of the Year

Signatures have almost become an iconic symbol here on the boards. Many attract comments from other members by their style or beautiful design, or the characters or settings depicted in them. They have added a colorful sense to the board, attracting the eye of many to them. In some ways, they also give a reflection upon the person themselves, displaying their interests, artistic sense, or talent and creativity. From hunky James Marsden all the way to the magic of the upcoming Princess and the Frog, to the King himself, each one catching our eye with them.

The nominees for Signature of the Year are:

Wait. That doesn't sound right.

The winner of the act or instance of discussing, at a public meeting or presentation involving a discussion usually among experts and often including audience participation, of a space of 12 calendar months calculated from any point is...

Hmm. Time to try again.

The winner of the act or process of discussing by breaking up, or dispersing, as a tumor, or the like, at the marketplace or public square of an ancient Roman city, the center of judicial and business affairs and a place of assembly for the people, of a period of approximately the same length in other calendars is...

You know what? This isn't working. I'm a simple person, so here goes.

The winner of Dicussion Forum of the Year is.....

Aaron: Presenting the award for Best Message Board Idea of the Year, please welcome to the stage the one and only...Hot Nanna!

Image

Hot Nanna: For those of you tuning in and wondering who is on your screen, I am Hot Nanna. An idea that sprung from the minds of Julian Carter and...Clayton. Whoever he was.

(laughter from the audience.)

Hot Nanna: Anyway, I was invited here to talk to you guys about ideas. After all, I was an idea. You were an idea. We all are ideas in the sea of life. And an idea is unchangeable. Once it's out there, it's out there. You can't change an idea. Well, you probably can, but then it's a new idea, and that other idea is still there. For example, let's say I had the idea to put itching powder on all the seats in this theatre.

(The audience then all stand up, afraid there is itching powder.)

Hot Nanna: Hehe, don't worry, there's no itching powder. But that idea is still there. Though now I might say that instead of putting itching powder, I put a bag of money underneath certain seats.

(The audience now ducks under the seats to look for money. The don't find any, so sit down again.)

Hot Nanna: See? The idea changed, and even if it didn't really happen...that idea is still there! Anyway, here at the Forums, ideas are always coming up, and some have a minimal effect on the posting community, while others are re-occuring and happen once a year. Then there are ideas that take a lot of people by surprise, or happens out of necessity. And some ideas are just fun! Tonight, we celebrate five ideas from the UltimateDisney/DVDizzy Forums. These ideas are...
