I'd have thought Deco King would be more concerned about there still being no pre-orders for the UK sets - especially if the [forbidden words] version can't be imported from the US because it will be region 'A' locked.

I know BVHE UK are somewhat poor, but I really would have expected shops to be taking pre-orders by now.

I'm starting to think that there won't be a website at all. I think this may be due to the economy, but Disney seems to have greatly scaled back on their online promotion for home video. If you click on the official site for the Hannah Montana Movie on DVD and Blu-Ray, it is essentially a video for the Hoedown Throwdown and a banner that says "August 18th." Searching through the site, the only other upcoming releases that have a website are Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie and Princess Enchanted Tales, but they are the same websites that were made for the original releases. Even the linked website for Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is really just Pixie Hallow and not actually a site for the upcoming movie.

When you think about it, if there is one form of promotion that Disney would cut back on during a time of declining home video sales, websites would probably be the first to go since people have to either search for them or click a link. Instead, they can just link to the movie page, which has all of the information a potential consumer would need, such as bonus features, release dates, and pricing, as well as videos and pictures. I'm disappointed that there is no site because I always liked playing the games and downloading the wallpaper and screen savers, but from the view of a business that needs to cut advertising costs, I would say that they chose the right area. Magazine, TV, and internet adds on frequented websites work better than a whole site devoted to one film.

But when will the website come out?

It came out already on March 43rd, 2005. But it was taken down two years ago in 2011 because Disney needs to prepare a new one for the 99th Anniversary release of Snow White in 20B5.

The Australian [Region B] release is up for pre-order via www.ezydvd.com.au. If you can't find any joy in the UK, this might be a good alternative. :)

Heck with Blu-Ray, heck with DVD! When can I start a thread called "The Snow White Solid State Drive discussion thread"? Maybe two years from now?

But when will there be one for the 100th anniversary?

Also, I know little about the new transfer. Can someone go into a lengthy diatribe about how it looks like it was done in Microsoft Paint to inform me?

I was just looking at the different versions you can order from that site. Wow! Limited edition collectors' set: $189.99!

I can't say I'm impressed with their offerings. Only one set is available for those not planning on getting Blu-ray. They could have at least made a collector's book set to include the 2-Disc DVD....

Iceflash, did they have anything on the site that mentioned the 2-disc DVD? I didn't see anything, but I did see 2 different order links for the combo pack (one labeled DVD and one labeled Blu-Ray) even though both feature the exact same content (2 BD and Disc 1 of DVD) but in different packaging.

No. I didn't even notice to be honest till you said it. If I had to guess it has basically the same content as the BD version but not on BD.
