Do any DVD versions of "Make Music Mine" have the Swing Cats / Freddie Moore girls number unedited?
Also, off the top of your head, do you know of any other shorts, etc., in which likenesses of the Freddie Moore girls are included? The centaurs, yes. But I imagine there's one or two more, probably in the war films, most of which I haven't seen in years.

No!
By now, the film has only been released on DVD in the USA. Let's hope the international versions have the film unedited.

I have a DVD of "Make Mine Music" where this number ("All the Cats Join In") is unedited.

It also has the complete "The Martins and the Coys" short, as well...

E-mail me.

I have the Gold Collection video for this and "The Martins and the Coys" was not included. Why was it edited out?

I guess the concept of a bunch of gun-toting hillbillies shooting and killing each other until only two are left standing got Disney a little nervous for presentation to the "Columbine generation."

This DVD was also released as VHS (i'm not sure if also dvd) in Spain several years ago. But I can't tell u if it includes the actual film or the hipocritically politically correct version.

Speaking of "Make Mine Music", I would love a UD review for the DVD...
I haven't seen this film in years, and I won't be buying the DVD until it is released here in Brazil (I refuse to pay R$80,00 for a butchered film).
I know there are a few reviews out there, but one with screen caps from the movie and the menus would be awesome.

What did they edit out of the scene in the first place?

i know the uk release of make mine music has been postponed due to 'legal reasons'. this could mean they are trying to put those shorts back in, as the current vhs is also missing them. the australian dvd was alos supposed to be unedited and that was supposed to be released last year, but all the australian dvd websites have been on show different info, some say release date pending, some available to order and others cancelled! so who knows!

Thanks a lot, Luke! I really enjoyed today's reviews.
Disney should be ashamed of themselves and takes this DVD out of the market and release a special edition with the uncut film and a restored version of it. And of course, a few real bonus features. Even the menus of this version are poorer than I've imagined!
Oh, and how annoying is that?!

I Think Funny The joke with the "This film has been modified from its original verision, It has been formated to fit this screen"
But of course that editing doesn´t have anything funny.

Yes. As if it wasn't bad enough that they have chopped up the film, they have to remind you about it every time you watch it. "You are not getting the whole film on this DVD, you know"...
