Great find! First I've heard of this DVD release, and it's only a month away! Now, where's the "Kids, Inc." box set? :)

Just to let you know, us Canucks have the entire first season of "Road To Avonlea" available on dvd:

<a href="http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B ... azon.ca</a>

The second season has been released too (some stores in Canada have it), but Amazon doesn't list it yet. Sullivan Entertainment might release more seasons, depending on how these sell.

I hope Disney or Sullivan Entertainment release the whole series on DVD. I know there were a lot of seasons, but it would be nice to eventually have them all.

Does anyone know any more about this DVD? What the SRP will be? I'm expecting around $30, but I can't be sure.

I read on the Disney website that it has 8 episodes. I'm assuming (and hoping) they'll be the first 8.

This DVD is called "Beginnings". Does this mean it's a first in a series of Volumes?

I'd hate to get this one, have Disney discontinue it, and then have to re-buy Sullivan's season sets for $100...

I merged this with your other thread. The answer to your SRP question could be found at the very first link in the list of links above.

Prince Adam wrote:I know that technically this isn't Disney (I'm from Canada where RTA belongs to Sullivan) but do you know if Sullivan has any ideas to create another Road to Avonlea reunion movie? I'm a big fan of the series, and loved "Happy Christmas Miss King", and I'm eagerly awaiting something new from Avonlea.

Actually Luke, this new thread is referring to the "Tales from Avonlea" DVD that Disney is releasing on Mar. 2. There's very little info on the Disney site.

I want to know what 8 episodes are included, if this will be an ongoing series, and how much it will be.

I may have to wait until March, and then just rent it.

Whoops, I merged with the wrong thread. But the answer to your SRP question can still, nonetheless, be found in the Upcoming Releases page of UltimateDisney.com.

Sorry for not checking that first. I just hadn't thought of checking it, since it probably won't be a very "big" release.

I'm definitely going to rent first, then decide if those 8 are worth it.

I don't know if I'm willing to spend $100 for the complete seasons. Now the first 3 seasons are out, so I'd need to fork over $300!

As long as Disney continues this Avonlea series.
I like the idea of this first volume being called "Beginnings"

It does seem to promise more releases. Maybe it will depend on sales, although I can't imagine that they expect to be greatly surprised either way on sales for this.
