Should be interesting, even though Diamond has really become a douche lately.

Bad cover. It just is.

I don't think most people are that interested in anything he might say anymore. It's not just the douche factor, although that's a big part of it. It's that - his whole career for too many years now has been "I was Screech." When he was a standup- he got publicity for telling jokes about Saved by the Bell. When he was a reality-TV star, it was because "look at how Screech ain't so nice anymore." Everything in his life revolves around that show. None of the other cast members are that pathetic. Not even Lark Voorhees, who almost seems to have gone into hiding after the show ended.

He needs to get over it and move on. Nobody cares half as much as he does and the business peeps who think they'll make money off him.

This guy keeps getting lamer and lamer. It's strange because just 5 years ago he and Dennis Haskins were the only cast members really eager to look back at the show (which they remained a part of far longer than everyone else)... and now they're the ones being excluded from the People photo shoot. Diamond sounds like he deserves it, what with all his shady "business" moves/scams, delinquent taxes, and so on. How bad can you be at managing your money? Maybe this book will be a repeat of his T-shirt scam where you pay him and get nothing! Way to make it so that the geek winds up the biggest train wreck.

After his own sex tape was "leaked" and it turned out it was just and his publicist looking to get him some attention its pretty obvious he is just an attention whore who misses the fandom he once had. I'd take anything he says in that book with a grain of salt and probably say 99.9% of it is nothing but lies and exaggerations....the 0.01% truth being, he used their real names.

I agree in that Dustin is just a poser. Everyone else was able to leave behind their Saved by the Bells days except Dustin because he gained infamy playing a nerd. He doesn't have the looks or even the charisma to pursue the things the others did, so now he is using his "bad boy" persona to try and reclaim some of that glory rather than getting some dignity and leave the past behind.

I wonder how a roast of Dustin Diamond would be like. I know he can't handle criticisms well, but if Bob Saget got one by all that is good he should get one too.

Here's a quote from that article:
"This book is freaking incredible!" Diamond's literary agent, Jarred Weisfeld, has said. "Everyone that reads it loves it, and [it] is truly one of my favorites of all time."
I'd love to know how old this "literary agent" is, and if he'd have the same opinion if Diamond wasn't one of his clients.

This is all too sad. An actor without the talent or charisma of going on to do better things--or leave the spotlight alone, like the other former "Bell" kids. It's time to put Screech to sleep.

I think what's sad is that I believe he is doing all of this NOT because he likes it but because he craves the attention. He doesn't have talent besides being a weird guy, and he didn't even use that to his advantage. He could have taken that lovely Screech personality and do good.

Nerds would have better role models than that.

Please be joking -- that can't be an actual movie.... Oh man, what happened to Urkel?

Oh, let's not go down that road... That's like assuming Family Matters was ever that great a show. It was simple-minded, obnoxious, joke-light family entertainment with goofball physical antics instead of quality, serious writing. "What happened to" him? Hopefully he went to college. But I'm guessing he got tired of not having his face out there and wanted to be famous for not being Urkel.
