I've just downloaded The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition.

They don't make games like this any more. I would say it was the greatest adventure game of all time, but we all know that's Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge.

Oh boy. My friends. I cried when I heard the theme music again. I cried. And the special edition is for once, exactly that. The HD graphics are stunning (as is the fact you can hot-switch to "classic" mode) and the game's as funny as ever.

Which brings me to my final thought. How Lucas could actually do something of worth away from the Star Wars universe. Come on Lucas, bankroll a Monkey Island movie. Come on, it would be a smash.

I also enjoy Monkey Island. The first Monkey Island game I played was Escape From Monkey Island and later The Curse of Monkey Island (I have not played the first two).

I recently downloaded Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 1 on my Wii. I think it's fun, but the constant lagging is annoying.
