The main use of my HDTV will be for the Blu-ray to watch movies on Blu-ray and standard Dvd. I also will watch the BD-Live bonus stuff on the Blu-ray players (this is why I want a Blu-ray player that can pick up the internet the wireless way)

Anyways based on what I will be using my HDTV and Blu-ray player for, what HDMI Cables would be the best? I have heard about how the low prices HDMI Cables can work just as good as the higher priced HDMI Cables.

Yeah, don't fall for Monster and High-price cables that you find in the store. Cheaper ones that are sold online are easily as good, hands down. Go with Soupy's suggestion. It's a popular site for people looking for HDMI.

Yup, they all do the same thing. But if the distance between your television and your Blu-ray player is a couple of feet, you might want to order a more expensive cable. Apparently the cheaper ones don't do well across longer distances.

Not to mention the cheaper ones don't even stretch that far

I ordered mine as part of a daily deal, they were 4 for $20 (total). They are 5-6 feet long, I believe.

And yeah, HDMI is HDMI - with RCA and S-Video and whatnot, the gold plated cables WERE better, as they were analog data so the quality of the transfer method did matter. HDMI is digital, so as long as the 1s and 0s can get from one end to the other, it'll look exactly the same.

I agree about the cheaper HDMI cables. I bought mine from monoprice for my Xbox 360 and the display is stunning.

You can also buy many other accessories, including cleaning kits, for cheap.

Any HDMI cable will do the same thing, I worked at Best Buy for nearly two years. Just recently quit, and there is a HUGE mark up on these! I got a rocket fish, which with our discount was $6. But they sell it in the store for $58. My friend and I, who I got him the Monster HDMI with my discount, and compared ours. No difference what so ever. Believe me, save your money, do not spend $60 to $100 just on a name brand.
