Universal unleashes the wolves!

Universal will release 2 famous were wolf movies for Sept. 15th! First, The Wolf Man!:

"Here's a great one: Universal has just set John Landis' An American Werewolf in London: Full Moon Edition for DVD and Blu-ray release on 9/15 (SRP $19.98 and $26.98 ). The Blu-ray is a loaded BD-50, while the DVD is a 2-disc set. Extras will include two completely new bonus features: The 100-minute Beware the Moon retrospective documentary (featuring Landis and Rick Baker) and the I Walked with a Werewolf featurette. You'll also get the previously released features, including audio commentary with cast members David Naughton and Griffin Dunne, 4 featurettes (Making An American Werewolf in London: An Original Featurette, An Interview with John Landis, Make-up Artist Rick Baker on An American Werewolf in London and Casting of the Hand), outtakes, storyboards and a photo montage. Wow! Two 2-Disc sets from Universal (Actually 3 if you count AoD)? That's someting you rarely see anymore.

Anyways, I have never seen the Wolf Man, but I would surely blind buy it. I have only seen bits and pieces of An American Werewolf in London (Such as the famous transformation scene), but I would still buy it.

Not bad.

Why can't these studios ever keep this idea when people like 20th Century Fox are doing new covers for From Beyond? It's important to sell movies on artwork that are indicative of the eras the movies came from. This new Wolf Man cover is an excellent example. They're not trying to make it look like he's hip and scary to the Saw crowd, are they?

An update:

Shocktillyoudrop has announced that The Wolf Man SE has been delayed and will be release in 2010 due to the remake being release in 2010.:

As for An American Werewolf In London Full Moon Edition, I don't know why, but The Universal Store has no listing. But Amazon still has a listing.

Really?! That just makes me mad. I was really looking forward to that release, too!
