Mine was Snow White, because I would always remeber that my first DVD would be Walt Disney's First Antimated Movie :)

Monsters, Inc.

It was my first one because it was the first big Disney DVD release after I got my DVD player. :P

Beauty and the Beast.

I LOVED this movie as a child--it was a Christmas gift to both me and my sister, and it was my first modern (post-Walt Disney) movie I watched. (Alice in Wonderland was the first Disney movie.)

Yup, that was pretty much me with A Bug's Life.

(Of course, I've bought another version since... )

But I suppose the first Disney disc was The Little Mermaid. It is still one of my favourite and most treasured DVDs, even though it has no supplements.

I think I go it because a friend had just bought the DVD, and was telling me how much fun he was having watching it in Polish, and how it took on a whole new meaning. I was really only just starting to "collect" Disney DVD back then (not wanting to get too many because they had no supplements - how fickle I was!). So that and Hercules are the only two "Limited" (we don't really use the term here, but they did go OOP around the same time) ones I got.

Mine was Snow White. That was when I decided that I would convert from VHS to DVD. I bought it because it was out and I thought the cover was beautiful. I guess though, the first Disney DVD I ever had was A Bug's Life, because it came with an iMac my dad bought! :)

Purchased The Little Mermaid in June or July of 2000 even before I had bought my first DVD player. Man am I glad I was smart enough to do that!

My first Disney-dvd was the old region 1 version of Tron, back in 2000 just after I had my dvd-player 'hacked' to play American dvd's. Tron had always been a very mythical film to me and I was overjoyed to finally be able to see it.

The first Disney animated feature I got was Snow white. I bought it because I was a bit 'dvd crazy' at the time and I had heard that it was going OOP. After that I went 'Disney crazy' and have been collecting their classics ever since. :)

My first disney dvd was The Toy Story Ultimate Toy Box. I was contemplating on that or The Fantasia Anthology. But i think i made a good choice. My brother got it for me because he just recently got a dvd player.

My frist disney dvd was Beauty and the Beast.

The "interesting" thing in my dvds is, how the player in my room is coded for region 1 (i have another in my parents room), I never bought a dvd that was not region "All".
When I bought my "beauty and the beast" and put it on my dvd, it played well, after i discovered that our dvds is both encoded for 1 and 4.

mines was Little Mermaid, back in 1999. I was 12 or so back then, and those 65 guilders were a LOT of money, but it was worth it. It was also the first hvs I got as a kid :) .. and the first Disneyfilm I saw in theaters

I had a feeling that DVD was going to be big way back in 1998/1999 and couldn't wait to watch films with way better quality than VHS. I started to buy discs before I got a player and the first Disney DVD I purchased was George of the Jungle. It was one of the first Disney DVDs that was released here in the UK. The fact that it's not in widescreen didn't bother me back than.

I got A Bug's Life: Collector's Edition for Christmas '99. It was my first two-disc set and I was really excited about it, because I had rented the original release and was blown away by both the movie and the picture quality, and a 2-disc re-release, no matter how expensive, really sounded great. And it was. However many dozens of 2-disc sets later, I'm glad that studios have seen that this is the way to go!

Mine was Beauty and The Beast.

I got it last summer when I realized that I was realizing that I am really starting to love Disney again. I realized that I'm not too old and that I really want to build a collection. :)

My first DVD was Cats (which Universal reissued A MONTH LATER in a loaded double-disc version), and then my first Disney DVD was Snow White. I wanted it, but Mom & Dad weren't too crazy on buying twice (I already had the Masterpiece Collection VHS from 1994) but I didn't care. It was on sale for Black Friday 2001 for just $12.94 at Target (along with Dumbo) and I just couldn't say no. Glad I said yes.
