TOY STORY's Sid in "Finding Nemo"?

I heard that Sid from "Toy Story" was supposed to be in the dentist's waiting room in "Finding Nemo", but the idea was dropped somewhere in the production stage. Does anyone know why?

Things like that just happen when making a film...
Sometimes its pacing, better ideas, just falling out of love with an idea, lots of things.

Well, that could be one reason they didn't have Sid there. I mean... he's an American kid.

He would've been too recognizable. It's not like the Buzz Lightyear that's seen quickly in passing, or the PP truck, or the Mr. Incredible comic book. Those are less noticeable,

Where are these other items seen?!!! The P.P. truck sounds familiar, but I forget where. Don't recall hearing about the Mr. Incredible Comic Book or Buzz!

Buzz and the comic book are seen lying around the dentist's office. The Pizza Planet truck is seen during Gill's explanation of the escape plan.

I remember they had a movie surfers thing on this at the time of the theatrical release.
