Was there always a stage in front of Cinderella's Castle? I was lead to believe it and the rising platform Mickey and Minnie were on was built for Cinderella celebration.

Always was a stage. And the rising platform and light-up arches were built for Cinderellabration as you were correctly told.

My favorite castle sage show is "Everyday's a Holiday".

Is that wire running from the castle to main street for shows? I hope they can remove it when hurricanes hit the park or it might get blown around in the wind and cause some damage.

Its for Tinker Belle's nightly flight during Wishes and it is strong enough to resist hurricane force winds and doesn't need to be taken down.

Jiminy Cricket host wishes along with special guest The Blue Fairy. Tinkerbell is the only one that gets to fly during the show.

OK I just saw a pic from 1973 and the stage was not there. Must have been put up for the 10th anniversary show.
