This from DVDBits:
The "Walt Disney Treasures"
The first two releases in the collection, including "Mickey Mouse In Living Colour" will now be released in May, with a further two releases in September.

"Lion King 1.5 / 3"
The new animated sequel to the "Lion King", known as "Lion King 1.5" in the US, has been renamed "Lion King 3" for release everywhere else. Look for the 2 disc set to be released on May 16th. A special edition release of the previous sequel, "Lion King 2" is currently set down for July.
Things are looking up for Aussie Disney this year...

My guess is "The Complete Goffy" and either "Behind The Scene's" or "Mickey in Black and White" (hopefully in my opinion the later).
I hope the september release for wave 2 follow's over to the UK.

I'm almost sure they will be "Mickey Mouse In LC Vol. 2" and "The Chronological Donald".
In my post regarding the future Brazilian Disney releases, you'll see that both of these titles are slated to be released on May (though I'm 99% certain that they will be postponed).

As Joe says above, those ones ARE likely.

BUT the UK seemed to get (or be getting) MMILC and Silly Symphonies in May. If that is still the case, then I imagine that we will get something similar.

I remember reading last time Bits reported that those two and Davy Crockett would be the 3 released, but it would make more sense to put Donald onto the Australian market (as with the Brazilian market) as Davy does not have as much of an appeal down here as it would in the US.

Then again, we are gettig one of the movies in March (King of the Wild Frontier)

Outside of Crockett, Goofy is perhaps my favourite. Hopefully we will see them all here eventually. (I have them, of course, but I really wish Disney would treat the overseas markets on a equal footing with the US).

A Mickey, Goofy and Donald set would make the most sense here in Oz, though.

We already have the very lacklustre 'Everybody Loves...' sets (exclusive to K-mart apparently), but what is the point if the Treasures are coming out?

w0ot!

I want my Treasures!

Was 2 years late onto Amazon so I guess I'll be getting them here (like I have a choice)

I'm holding out for Silly Symphonies :D

Odd that AU isn't getting TLK"3" until May. I'd think that Disney would want to do a more-or-less silmuntanious (sp?) worldwide release on this and give fans the world over the chance to see it at the same time. It's going to be really hard for AU fans to avoid spoilers until then. Sorry.

Infact, it would make the most sense to me for Disney AU to bow TLK & TLK3/1.5 on the same day.

Ah, the blessings of living in the USA.

Seriously though I hope you guys can import ours so as to see it and perticipate in discussion, especially since it was animated in AU. Odd that you'll be getting TLK2 in July, though, which is earlier then us. Wierd.

Not that strange really. LK: SE hasn't even come out here yet (sometime in Feb I believe).

Disney releases globally are far from simultaneous. I don't think I can recall too many instances where we got them at the same time. I know all the big ones of the last few years have been at least 1-2 months.

It is hard for Australians, and all non-US fans, to avoid spoilers, yes. It is also hard for everybody not to go against what they tell us and buy a multi-region player and import them all 3 months ahead. I have all the Treasures. The FIRST of these comes out in Australia this year. And not as one "Wave" either.

The more people "vote with their wallets" and order the US counterparts, the more the head company will realise they are not doing right by their global counterparts. Perhaps this will result in change...

Mind you, it's not all bad. We do got some exclusive stuff overseas. Look at the Zorro set!

Well, we seem to get the best deal. Not only do we get access to all R1 releases, we get access to all R2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 releases as well! We also get R1 reelases early (my Alice arrived last Saturday for example, and that's after its been shipped halfway across the world!).

It seems to be just Americans who miss-out. It's the Americans who suffer from their own Studios' protectionism, not us!
