Blu-Ray would be kind of wasted on a 720p (actually 1366x768, which never really made sense to me) TV. At 32", though, there wouldn't be a lot of point in full 1080 resolution, anyway.

Ideally, you'd want something from 40"-46" with true 1080p resolution. Good quality TVs at that size range can be had for pretty reasonable prices these days... and while you can get larger ones for moderately low prices as well, the overall quality on them won't be that hot.

Does it have HDMI inputs?

Using 720p with component wouldn't look that bad (actually, would it look different than HDMI at all?) but really, an upscaled DVD at 720p would look pretty much the same sitting a reasonable distance away.

Yeah, there would be a big difference if you had a Full HD Tv.

But I still think it would be a good idea for you to get a Bluray player.

I can picture people here on UD complaining about not owning the Sleeping Beauty or Pinocchio Bluray 4 or 5 years from now. :P

You do not need 1080p to enjoy Blu-ray. You should notice a difference with your 720p set. I've seen a few 720p sets in different sizes and Blu-ray always looks better. 1080p is really only worth it if the TV is 40 inches or better, or you plan to use it as a computer monitor.
