She is sending it to me this week, but just completed it the other day and made a video. This is the unicorn I plan to start my new children's entertainment business with.

The costume looks great! But the running is a little awkward (though I assume you won't be running while in costume and it was in the video as a demonstration).
I like the cat in the video. It just adds a while whimsical feel to the video.
The addition of the princess is great.

MULAN IS NOT A PRINCESS!
Sorry, got a little carried away there. It's like 'Nam flashbacks. [shudders]

Random, but completely understandable

Running is awkward because she's a human, not a unicorn. There is no knee joint, so the front legs are stiff. She is trying to develop a knee joint that looks natural and also locks in place correctly like real knees so they don't collapse under weight. So till she does, it will be a little awkward looking and stiff.
And she has a ton of pets. She does a lot of rescue and fostering, as well as adopting many on her own. That cat in the video is her "miracle cat" apparently the vet said it wouldn't have made it as a kitten because it was so sick....now its an overweight happy adult cat. But she's got ducks, chickens, dogs, and cats, plus all sorts of cage/tank creatures too.

LOL that cat was freaked out of it's mind !
You know what Siren, it might also be a great idea to make a "Lady and the Unicorn" stage show for kids, with that unicorn. It could gain you more fame, than just a "Unicorn ride".

Yeah, I was thinking of something like that too! I already planned to do a mini-movie.
A young princess (my daughter) grows tired as she picks flowers in a field. She finds a shady tree to take a nap under. When she is awoken by a sound. She follows the sound into the forest where she finds a unicorn who has been chained to a tree by hunters. She releases the unicorn and it runs away for a little while, but then it comes back, curious and thankful about the little princess. It comes back to her and "dances" for her and then invites her for a ride. She rides the unicorn for a while before the unicorn brings her back to the tree and then it disappears back into the woods. Soon the girl wakes again, unsure if it was just a dream.
I plan to reenact some scenes too from TLU. I will be meeting Peter S. Beagle for the first time in person, but we have talked on the phone and I also have his email too. So I plan to ask him for permission to use bits of his book for a non-profit live stage show at the renn fairs and events I go to.

That is so exciting!!! I love the costume. I agree- the sorceress or princess and the cat did make that video extra magical!
I have a question, though- are you going to be making any noises? Kissy noises or neighing or anything?

I plan to experiment. If the voice sounds like its defiantly coming from the neck, then I will stay silent. If the voice sounds okay, I will likely do some neighing and such, similar to TLU, high pitched. If I can develop a good character voice for it, I will talk for stuff like shows.
