Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone can help me out.

I noticed in the new re-release thread about 20,000 Leagues that some laserdisc items were never ported over.

I was wondering if anyone else could either point me somewhere or help me with a list of extras never transferred over to DVD.

Ok, let’s try an answer.

To get an answer to your question, you need a complete catalogue of all films with the extra films on Laserdiscs, DVDs, and Blu-rays, Disney has had rise at the market.

Because I have no laserdiscs, I have no information witch films are been appeared on Laserdisc.

Now take a look, if libraries can help you. On most catalogs appears only the title of cover. No extra content. If you look on catalogs of media sellers, there is only extra content named for “advertise” and no complete data of extra content.

There is indeed a lot of research to do to answer your question.

Actually the Original Theatrical Trailer is on the DVD.

Operation Undersea would have been a great addition to the set. I'm sure it will be on the Blu-Ray release when it happens in a few years. Until then, I'm happy with my awesome 2 DVD set AND DVD transfer of this special feature from the laserdisc I suppose you could call it my home-made 3-disc ultimate edition...LOL.

The making of feature would have been the 1979 "Disneyland" episode "Black Holes: Monsters That Eat Space and Time", and they were also planning on including an isolated music track. However, the laserdisc was cancelled.

Hmm, I know Toy Story had a music and effects track... though most of the others didn't. With 5.1, though, sometimes that can be hand-made by decomposing them LOL

Anyway, I thought I would start a site listing all the DACs, and when you clicked on each one it had info about it as well as a listing of special features. Eventually, each one will be watchable online (Yes, I can make my own YouTube ) and possibly downloadable. But I'm just a kid - I can't just go buy half the laserdiscs ever made.

So if anyone does have a few of these, and wants to help with the project (you'll need a DVD recorder or something, or just be willing to send the laserdisc itself), let me know! The only really "special" one I have is The Lion King - unless there's anything notable on the standard releases of Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin or Cinderella (apart from the rare 1988 WDC bumper)

I think the original un-enhanced darker-colored theatrical version of B&TB is noteable enough.

Because they want to see you the soundtrack CD?

Yeah, buy the soundtrack albums with nowhere NEAR all the music from the films. (And yes I have bought a few myself, but yes. ) I know some CDs would have to leave off like 5 minutes of music to fit it all on one CD, but some of the best score from films like TLM and B&TB are not available on the soundtrack CDs, and it seriously pisses me off.

If Disney isn't gonna release their stuff, they can't complain when I do it instead. Which is why you may notice I don't just give out movies that are easily obtained at a store - only stuff that's out of print, rare, unreleased etc. or something that was altered like Aladdin.

For that matter, there's actually a forum member who made his own score CD for TLM and BatB, and it's pretty good. (He uses the same "remove the center channel" method I do - I'm just too lazy to actually make my own CD)

I once tried to do that with BATB, but I really didn't like the results. Too much of the dialogue and SFX came through to the other channels. I WAS able to do that with the original Freaky Friday though. The dialogue and SFX came through sometimes, but it was VERY quiet when it did and barely audible.

Thanks Escapay, looks like that is quite alot of material. I was interested in trying to collect the laserdiscs that have this material and then maybe port them to DVD.
