I wasn't sure if this thread should be entered in Movies/TV thread or in Disney Discussion thread..... if it should be in the latter one, can I have a mod move it for me please? thanks in advance.

W.O.W.P is a show bout

Alex Russo, her older brother Justin, and their younger brother Max, and Alex's best friend Harper. The three live with their Italian-American father, Jerry, and their eccentric Mexican-American mother, Theresa. The children aren't allowed to use magic without supervision, and according to the premise, only one of the three will keep their magic abilities once they are adults, and this will be determined by a magic competition. Jerry (their father) once did this competition and won, but gave his powers up to marry their mortal mother (Theresa) as a wizard is not allowed to marry a mortal. Alex often gets into trouble by using magic unsupervised, and learns lessons and morals relating to friends, family, and school. But she still ends up getting into trouble again and again for the lessons that she supposedly already learned about the hard way.

The show is already on the 2nd season.....I'm quite curious bout which person will keep their powers...personaly I'm hopin for a worthy season 2 finale. The characters are quite engaging, the jokes could use alil work (especialy with Max) Alex and Jerry seem to be the most developed characters of the show and I'm sensin that Harper's gon'na have better development too.

I personally love this show. Selena Gomez is fantastic (and quite attractive too  ) and I like the writing.

I also like that they throw references to Star Wars in it sometimes :D

As for who gets to keep their powers? Probably Justin or Alex lol.

Justin seems to be a good choice, but then again Alex has matured a bit too. I just wish they made Max alil smarter, the dumbness is reminding of Chelesa's Season 3 personality

I really like this show. It's funny...and entertaining...and that's why I like it. :D

Maybe all 3 kids will keep their powers?!?

Wouldn't be surpised if the dad got his powers back in the W.O.W.P the movie (comin to Disney Channel) or they might get exposed in the Season 2 finale....

I seriously think they will all end up getting the powers. Disney isn't gutsy enough to just choose one.

You're probaly right, considering how popular the show is with pre-teens... who knows bout who they want to keep their powers. Too bad Disney doesn't do polls like the old Batman comics did.... Decide who keeps their powers.

I like it...it is light, easy entertainment. My boyfriend and I saw the taping for the one where they go to the movies. I felt kind of silly being surrounded by so many little kids. But the audience coordinator/entertainer was really good with the kids and they served pizza. It was fun to see it though.

Anyway...I think it is a cute show but I don't like the episode about Harper...no spoilers just in case someone didn't see it.

I'm surpised that Disney actualy held thru on the whole Best Friend/Lil Sibling crushes on main characters' sibling/friend.

Seriously?!?!? Before we went to California, Bobby checked to see about going to a Disney Channel show taping, and what he read said that in order to go to a taping, you had to have a person aged 14 or under in your party, or something like that. So that was a lie?!? We could've gone?!?!

We went for the first season...maybe they changed the rules or maybe it was that way for certain Disney shows. He checked for availability almost every day...they were always gone. I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to go. It's a fun way to spend a few hours. You don't normally get to meet any of the actors or anything though...but I'm sorry that you missed out on it. Next time you come to California you should go to a taping for any other show, then you can at least say you saw one.

It's possible, but if that happens I think it would be really lazy of the writers to resort to such predictable plotting to wrap up the show.

Not to mention it would be a major "jumping the shark" event.

I thought the power elimination storyline is quite interesting and unique among Harry Potter wannabes (something Wizard is NOT afraid to confess).

Here's an update bout W.O.W.P: The Movie

The Russo family wins a trip down to an unknown South American place. Wizard ruins are found there, and the Russos go to check it out. They find that the ruins contain inscriptions of the ancient wizards who created the wizard world. The writing tells of one wizard who will save both the wizard world and the human world from the ultimate evil. They then go to the wizard to see who this wizard is. During their venture, they must stop a 1000-year old wizard from destroying both of their worlds

Plot sounds really strong, maybe it'll be alil bit stronger when get more details. I can sort of see it work as a full length movie then again ya never know.

(can we move this thread to Disney Discussion thread please?)
