YouTube Video-Channels You / I Watch (like it's television)

I really wanted to bring up a few YouTube Video-makers, but the "Post YouTube Videos You've Found" isn't really for that kind of thing. YouTube has really become this thing where you watch it like it were television. I've stopped watching almost all television stations altogether because some of these Vloggers and Comedians featured on YouTube are endlessly more entertaining and more personable, and a lot of what they say is smarter than the awful writing on today's scripted dramas and "sitcoms." It's basically like a new form of Reality Television!

For instance...

If you love the humor of E!'s The Soup, which I do, you may love:

1. Image
Cute with Chris. Who is not actually an Entertainment-news commentator, but a comedian who hosts this kind of parody on what would probably be a family-oriented Pets Show were it to ever air on actual television, and show on some station like PBS. This guy is downright brilliant. His dry humor is hilarious and there are frequent "die-laughing" moments in almost all of his videos. Which he counts as actual Episodes of a program. Here's a good one!

Another Channel I really fell in love with when I first discovered it:

2. Image Image
The VLog Brothers. These guys are basically a microcosm duo of all those computer geeks (no offense) who blog and download all the time, and have incorporated Internet-Speak into the speech of their daily lives.

Another Channel that is a really good example of a person becoming a wonderful personality you grow to like watching:

3. Image
Tyler Oakley. Immediately I liked this guy because he reminded me of one of my best friends in High School. He's kind of a nerd. When I think of him, one of the first images that pops into my head is him saying "Pokemon" a lot. The other one is him saying, "shoot, girl!," because he's also a member of another, fairly revolutionary YouTube Channel:

5 Awesome Gays. This one is addictive like peanut butter and Coca Cola! Each one of the guys talk about their favorite things, least favorite things, traveling, what they're doing in their lives, and how they have been able to meet YouTubers offline.

That's also a channel where you learn what YouTube was probably meant to be in the first place - not just a place to post videos of things the users have recorded and edited themselves, but a kind of convention where it's a major hobby for these people to go around meeting each other and make new friends, etc.

Edit: For 5 Awesome Gays, the old Monday has left the channel and has been replaced. The new replacement is the 5th picture in the lineup.

Edit 2: For 5 Awesome Gays, the old Wednesday has left the channel and has been replaced. The new replacement is the 6th picture in the lineup.

This is the only non-AMV maker channel I watch on YouTube.

Coolduder - I enjoy watching his dvd updates.
JamesNintendoNerd/Cinemassacre- He does really funny video game reviews. I also like his movie reviews, too.
JeepersMedia - I like his product reviews of absurd products.

I'm clearly going to have to check out Jeepers Media with 2 YouTubers being fans.

I watched his Batman movie series (Part 2) review video and it was very good. But the "Spike.com" ad at the end really bothered me. Does he work for them, are these videos from their TV channel? Does he have permission to air them? Why am I taking very well-humored, engaging reviews from someone connected to such a shitty website like Spike.com?? Too many questions.

Yeah, I watched a couple of his videos about his DVD collection. I love "DVD Collection" videos on YouTube now. His are some of the longest. That also reminds me to add another favorite YouTuber to my list:

5. Image
DarkAngel182. An English guy with quite a horror collection. He's also not just cute, but has a lot of information. I walk away from every one of his videos feeling like I've learned a lot.

Found another YouTuber I found the other day that is probably a noteworthy mention:

6. Image
Phunky Princess. Her video responses to such trivial video trends as "51 Things" and "Most Hated Things" were uplifting, sharp, and funny. I'm going to check her out more.

7. OP! Almost forgot one of my favorite YouTube contributions, Sentientred's upload of the entire Worst Witch movie with Fairuza Balk, Diana Rigg, Charlotte Rae, and Tim Curry. A childhood (and adult life - I won't lie) favorite!

Ok, so ever since you posted this, I've become completely obsessed with it. Specifically Stevie, and sort of Joe, but Tyler and Korey are pretty cool too. However, I don't care for their new Monday, Michael, at all. Something about that guy just rubs me the wrong way.

But I love Stevie! He's so freaking cute and funny! I love his "Hie" at the beginning of every video, hahaha. I also subscribed to his personal channel, along with Joe's. And p.s. they're dating! GAH! That seems like an odd pairing to me, but Idk, I guess it's just me. :D

Yeah, we're all going to miss Andy, who says he will still make videos for his individual channel. But probably just not as often as once a week. As for each of the other guys, I never saw any of Greg's videos, Joe's raps are amazing but he doesn't do that much anymore, Korey is strange - I don't know what else to say about K, I haven't seen any of Mike's videos either, and Stevie is definitely amusing. Great taste in music. I discovered Leona Naess and re-discovered Santogold because of him. I don't think Mike has that many videos, so he'll probably come into his personality while on the 5AwesomeGays channel. I'm interested to see what he'll do.

And, maybe anyone else who has begun watching the group might want to check out the guys individual channels. You can find them at:

Not so much as I'll miss Andy, cause I never really saw any of his videos, I just don't like the new guy lol. And I wonder when Greg left all his videos were taken down, I wanted to check them out but they're gone. :(

After seeing all the videos now, I'm not sure I "like" most of the Gays, so just like them, I'm keeping an open mind about Mike as well.

I did too. But he requested that they be removed. So out of respect, the other members did.
