I should have done this earlier, but got lazy...

Anyways, tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a day dedicated to showing gratitude towards the things you have received in life. So, in honor of this celebration post here the things you are grateful for, both good and bad and how you plan to honor it.

Remember, gratitude is something that should happen all year long. Keep that in mind.

Anyways, here are the things I am grateful for:

My family: Its important to always honor my family. Even though we became an extended family when my sister moved on and has caused some awkward moments I am grateful for the help, love and support I've received. While many families would have kicked their unemployed sons out of their home my family has been patient and kind to put up with my presence while I work hard towards finding a job. I wouldn't be who I am today without them :) .

My cats: I give thanks for having such fun, furry companions and for all the love and protection they receive from above. Despite their annoyance I still love them greatly and wish nothing but the best.

My friends: I'll be the first to confess that I don't have that many friends in real life. But the few that I have are very loyal and miss them greatly. Yes, I've ranted about our clashes, especially since it made me question their loyalty, but after talking and thinking about things are not as bad as they seem. I'm also grateful for the friends that I made when I was working as a computer teacher for an adult learning program.

The problems and issues I have faced throughout the year: It might be weird to be thankful for the stuff that made you sad, upset and made your life a living hell. But I am grateful because these events happen in life for a reason. They make us wiser, more patient and stronger.

In my case, I've been un-employed for nearly a whole year. After graduation I faced a lot of issues that preventing me from being a teacher. Despite the headaches I've learned a lot about handling these types of issues, to be prepared and work ahead of time. Its been hard, especially when you feel useless and penniless. But thank the lord my family is doing fine.

I've also lost an uncle and an aunt on my mother's side of the family, one due to a heart attack and the other to cancer. I pray that wherever they are they are enjoying a better life. I shall honor their presence tomorrow.

But its been a good year as well. My mother has finally retired from the work that made her suffer for many years and despite her herniated discs she is just a lively as she ever was.

Ultimate Disney: While I joined this site last year I didn't become a full time member till recently. The reason why is because the last site I was attending was being filled with extreme negativity, stupidity and ignorance. The site has been great for all types of discussion and even if I've encountered some heated debates and discussion I came to admire a lot of people.

For the record, I returned to that old forum and its been changed drastically for the better.

That's it for me. What are YOU grateful for?

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving? Pfff, try like more than a month ago. I think you're a little....oh wait, you people have a different date.

My belated thanks goes to UD for bringing joy to my little life everyday of the year and the people who make this a special forum full of real people capable of talking about anything that for the most parts lacks in emotional less "LOLZ! EPIC FAILZ! I <3 DIZZ-EE" gibberish.

I'd like to thank Disney for giving us the Jonas Brothers. I can't imagine what life would be like without those boys. Maybe the world isn't perfect, but I do know for sure that it's a much brighter place with Joe, Nick, and even Kevin looking out for us and keeping it real.

You keep on rocking, Jonas Brothers, and Disney, keep giving us more of them. Pretty please!

I honestly don't know if Luke's post was pure sarcasm or he truly meant it...

On that regard, I hate to try to imply some posting rules, but this thread is meant to be a semi serious and serious discussion of gratitude. You can be funny, just don't ruin it by bringing sarcasm and angst into it.

I corrected your post, Luke.

I agree with Luke- I am grateful for JB (yes, I know that he was much more than likely joking, but I'm not!), and I'm grateful for the colder weather, and for my doggies. And if Luke can be thankful for Jonas Brothers, then I can say that I am thankful for Corbin Bleu & Hanson as well. Yes. And I'm grateful for my family & friends. And for UD. Yep. :)

Let's hope Disney doesn't read that as being serious like I almost did until I recognized the poster.

I'm thankful for my DVDs and TCM ESPECIALLY!

God - for existence and blessing me with the family and friends that I have.

Mom - for her unconditional love and empathy.

My new friends at Uni - ever since my school finished most of my friends have either gone to Australia or the States, so after those 4 months of loneliness it's nice to see some new lovely people who respect me and appreciate me the way I am.

Reem (my sister) - for making me smile when my forehead get's sick of frowning.

UD - I just love and I'm fond of everyone here, but I've probably said that before right !
