It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

List your Christmas CD collection here! I know Aaron has a ton of Christmas CDs, so I can't wait to see which ones he has.

I'll post mine in a bit.

I only have one cd, it's the New West Minster Gentlemen of Fortune. It's a group my Grandpa used to sing with, a barbershop one I believe and he's on the cd. It's tradition to listen to it while decorating the tree :)

Haven't purchased any Christmas CDs yet this year, but I will soon. I thought this thread could use some color, so here's my list - in pictures!

Image Got this 2 years ago after purchasing volume 3 and realizing how good it was.

Image Got this along with volume 1 after getting volume 3.

Image I really enjoy the first 3 Now Christmases because they're such a great blend of contemporary hits and old favorites.

Image ** I LOVE THIS ONE!!! This was a Holiday tradition in my family for years! We had it on cassette and a few years ago we lost the cassette and I couldn't find it ANYWHERE! Last year around this time I was telling my friend how I LOVED this album and I couldn't find it anywhere and then for Christmas they found it on CD and got it for me. It was such a great gift, and a nice surprise!**

Image Very short album, but it's also VERY good!

Image Not the greatest Christmas album in the world, but it's still good and enjoyable.

Image While I enjoy it very much, it's not the best, but it's far from the worst. I really like "Marshmallow World"!

Image I used to own a burned CD-R copy I got from a friend, but last year I decided to upgrade to the DualDisc version for the videos and the bonus tracks. The bonus tracks alone are well wroth the price I paid for it!

Image Oh boy, yet another family tradition. We've been listening to this one as long as I can remember and it's great. These songs never get old.

Image Just last year I decided to get Volume 2, which is just as good as Volume 1, if not better. Maybe this year I'll get volumes 3, 4 and 5?

Image Pure genius.

Image Pure genius - the sequel!

Image Pure genius strikes back...

Image Pure genius packed onto one disc...

Image...and the newest genius comes with buckteeth and beer!

Image
The OLDEST family tradition. Goes back even before The Flintsones Motown Christmas and A Very Special Christmas Volume 1! We used to have this on cassette but I wore it out from playing it too much and the black strip snapped  . So a few years ago I downloaded this off Limewire, and last year I decided it was time to get the official remastered re-release. So I finally got the 20th Century Masters Edition that you see here.

Image Just got this last year and really enjoy it!

Image This one isn't that bad, despite some of the artist that ruin the CD (*cough*JONAS*cough*)

Image This is definitely not one of my favorites. It's only OK. If you see it used or cheap anywhere I'd pick it up. I wouldn't spend more than $10 on it though.

Image I LOVE this 2003 re-release! Nobody should be without it!

Image This iTunes and online exclusive is great.

Agreed about Disney Channel holiday. It actually has 3 listenable songs among the other crap included on it. My 3 favorites are:

1. "This Christmastime" (Corbin Bleu): a surprisingly nice song.

2. "Let It Snow" (Lucas Grabeel): I hate the first 5 seconds but the rest is nice.

3. "The Best Time of the Year"

Yeah, those songs are good, and I like some other songs like "Christmas Vacation".If I could take out any songs I would take out "Jingle Bells (A Hip Hop Carol)" (I mean seriously, who turns a good Christmas carol into a rap! It sounds like GARBAGE!), "Run Rudolph Run", and *maybe* "Girl of My Dreams", it's just an OK song.

Even before I posted that I knew Amy would be thrilled that I actually had a Corbin Bleu song on my itunes playlist.

In more detail my playlist has movie soundtracks (Polar Express, BatB: Enchanted Christmas, Babes in Toyland, Muppet Christmas carol), Rankin/Bass compilations (Classic Cartoon Christmas 1 and Too) and soundtracks, Disney Theme Park music (everything from Haunted Mansion Holiday to Tokyo Disneyland's Jolly Holiday parade), the 3 Trans Siberian Orchestra CDs and other random stuff like David Fosters Christmas Album, Disney Presents A Family Christmas, Disney's Season of Song, Christmas with the Andrew Sisters and just random songs not full albums (like "It Won't be Long 'Till Christmas" from The Happiest Millionaire).

None. I HATE Christmas music.

I walk around with headphones on all through December cause if I didn't I'd want to kill myself.

 Sorry, Ames, BUT hopefully this will redeem me: I love Corbin's song on the Disney Channel Holiday CD, AND I do plan on picking up Hanson's "Snowed In" this holiday season. :D Also, I WILL admit that I own JB's "A Little Bit Longer" CD. When it was on sale at Best Buy I got it, plus I had a discount so it came to $6. And guess what? I don't regret the $6 I spent. It's not that bad. It's their second album-era music I can't stand.

I am very, very, very pleased! :)

And, Albert, to Dan's credit, the other threads that you listed have a somewhat-different topic than this one. :)

Yes! I will admit though, I had no intentions of picking up "Snowed In", but after you posted that link to the medley last night in the chat, I got hooked! Hopefully I can track down a copy!

To be fair, I'd like to apologise to everyone who I've been harassing in chat about it being too early for Christmas music. I'm such a hypocrite! :D
