Well, all joking aside - he has a freaking problem. Just think of all the money he wastes buying multiple versions of movies. Does he even buy anything other than Disney films?

Eh, it's his problem, not mine.

Who says I have a problem?
Julian Carter. And I'm sure many others. :P
quilly wrote:I buy them on both formats because I COLLECT Disney movies.
A true collector would have all the VHS releases, all the laserdisc releases, and all the unusable 1998 Divx discs. I'll be very disappointed to hear you don't have any Divx discs.

Or if we wanted to make the pissing contest last longer, you'd also have check discs that the DVD authoring houses make, which also serve as screener copies that are not necessarily indicative of the final product. For example, in November 2006 I received a check disc of The Fox and the Hound 2 a month before it was actually released on DVD, since I was to interview the director, Jim Kammerud, for UD. Since the film's upcoming release was reason for having an interview at all, Disney sent me a check disc to watch before the interview.

So are humility, modesty, and humbleness. If only someone would learn that. ;)

Concerning people opinion on me, I only care about what my family, my clients and my friends think about me!! I certainly could not care less about what two losers think about my shopping habits or hobbies!!! With respect to your bashing of my collection, I think your comments are the reflection of the purest envy, but I have 626 reasons that say my collection is better than yours!! Lastly, regarding the values you mention, I am modest and humble enough to say thet envy is bad for the soul!!!

PS. Was that interview before or after Disney terminated you due to the use of foul language and insubordination? Are you selling that exclusive DVD? I'm buying!!! By the way, are a you a journalist or are you getting paid in that line of work? Did you get something out of your interview? If not, keep dreaming, I'll be buying!!!

reyquila, that was rude and uncalled for. I highly doubt Albert and Julian are envious of your collection, because that's not what their liking of Disney is about, to the best of my knowledge. You seem to be the only one on this forum who consider a Disney DVD to be a piece of gold. So I'd back off of other people, and go back to concerning how shiny your slipcovers are, and how many Disney DVDs you can purchase from Amazon at a time.

Actually Scaps answered Julians question not really attacking, secondly you attacked them and escalated things

I agree it's a *huge* waste of money to buy multiple versions of the same movie. If you were to double dip because the new edition is superior that's understandable, but buying it just so you can say you have it is rather lame.

Their comments aren't envy it's called pity. Also, just because your collection is bigger doesn't mean it's better. You buy everything just so you can flaunt your collection and say "Mines better" everyone else here saves up (I assume) and works hard to add every dvd to theirs, in my opinion everyone elses collections are superior to yours because they work harder to make it bigger dvd by dvd without the constant "I'm better than you" attitudes.

Reyquila:

Ending each post with "Wooohoooo" is getting VERY old, VERY fast. It just annoys people that you post EVERYtime you buy a DVD. And just because people are questioning your shopping habits, does not mean they are envious of your collection. You just hide behind that excuse to make yourself feel better in the scheme of things. You try to tell yourself everyone is sooo jealous of you and your collection, when really we're not... we love our own collections and don't bother comparing them to one likes yours. Sure, yours is fab. But just because people say one little out-off-the-path remark about you doesn't mean you need to go all Regina George on them. Comprendre?

Ho-hum ... now I feel like a tactless idiot for mentioning the word 'problem' in the first place. Wish I'd kept my big mouth shut.

I dont want to be admired, nor hated. I'm just enthusiastic about my movies!!! As Netty said: is a hobby!!! I also have kids, very lovable and intelligent kids. My daughter watch all the movies with me and I have over 15 Disney movies books which we use as reference for our movie watching. I have a day job and movie collecting is a way of distracting myself. I could be insightful and deep in my posts, believe me!! But from time to time certain people here can't hold back their pure envy, thats right envy, and question my posts. I don't offend anyone with my comments, so dont let my posts bother you and keep posting!!!

I don't think if it's a good idea to buy a few different versions of the same movie, you can buy many other movies insted of editions of the same movie,IMO.
(I"ll buy movies on Blu-Ray and if Enchanted will have a 2 discs edition on Blu-Ray I"ll definitely buy it).
I have Nightmare Before Christmas CE for sale, new and sealed!!!

You know what I tried being nice, but you clearly don't listen. You seem determined despite some of us pointing out how abrupt and big-headed your posts sound, to continue to want to wind people up. No one here is interested in your DVD collection, and believe me not one person on this entire forum will ever be envious of a person like you.

Was that you being nice? WOW!!! You don't know me and you definitively can't speak for every person in the forum!!! I dont want you to feel envious (although you are), all I want is for you to share my passion for Disney movies!!! You keep expressing your passion by talking, typing and posting. I'll be buying and watching!!!

Yay! Now he deliberately misinterprets ichabod's post to prolong the bickering and remain in the spotlight. Oh, reyquila, I'm so envious. Every night I weep incessantly on thinking of your DVD collection. How I wish I had one! I'm so jealous! I'd kill for a collection that size!

I already have a life reyquila. I have a family that loves me, two adorable nephews, a passion for animation (not a sexual attraction to the Walt Disney Company), a talent for the piano and an ambition to attaining my B. Ed (Hons.) in Primary Education degree in four years time.

Oh, and once I'm a Primary School teacher I'll have a job ten times cooler than yours. Take that!
