Jungle Book DVD for sale

I just won a bid on this on eBay. It is the original DVD, with the security sticker, and factory sealed with Buena Vista logo on the factory seal.

But I managed to get one for free earlier, and I hoped I would get outbid, but no such luck. The winning bid was on $46, so if anyone wants it, I could arrange something with the seller to send it to you instead. (The seller is located in Canada).

Please let me know, either replying to this or e-mail me.

:jawdrop: You're kidding, aren't you?!?!? I got this title for free during Disney's first "Buy 3, Get 1 Free DVD" offer during the Platinum Snow White release season.

WOW! $46! AMAZING!

$46 is not much for Jungle Book on DVD. I have seen it going as high as $80 for one DVD. Same goes for other Limited Issue DVD's. Little Mermaid goes for around $60-$80, and same applies for Lady and The Tramp. Hercules and Mulan was reissued, so you can get those cheaper. I don't think I will have any problem selling it for $45 on eBay again, it's just I wanted to sell it right away, so I didn't need to get it myself, and then selling it over again.

How much does 101 dalmatians go for at best?

Doesn't look like they go for more that $40-$45 when I checked eBay right now. I remember seeing Little Mermaid going for $85, so I guess it all depends. The interest from people were bigger a year ago.

And the initial SRP for these were $39.95, so $46 for a sealed copy is not bad.

Yup, getting these puppies for anything CLOSE to retail at the moment is pretty good.

I'm content to wait until the Platinum release, but that sounds good to me.

If you think $46 is steep, wait until you check out the Treasures prices... :D

Just before Christmas I saw a Limited Issue Little Mermaid DVD go for $100 on ebay.

It makes it very tempting to sell some of my sealed Limited Issue DVDs on ebay, but I refuse to deal with PayPal and am afraid that that might discourage some bidders.

Don't really know much about American prices but the Euro-equivalent of $45.00 would be a relatively cheap price for a region 2 edition of Junglebook (one with Dutch subtitles I mean). I have seen titles like this being sold for about € 60 - 70, which is something like $ 65 - 75. I guess that some OOP Classics are even rarer in Europe than they are in the US.

Not that I would want this one: I allready own Junglebook. :)

i had two disney dvds already but i wasnt "collecting them". i didnt want them all. now i do. (just the animated ones though). i got one in bogota, the capital; and the other as a present from my friend neil, from the uk, who bought it from amazon a long time ago but couldnt play it because it was a region 1 movie.

OK, if it is a region1 edition I would like to trade with you. I only had to be sertain that it was not a bootleg since many of those can be so nicely done that you never would notice. But if it is only region1 then it is leagal. 8)

Karlsen:
Please don´t be sure that a DVD is automaticly legal (not a bootleg) if it states that it´s a Region 1-disc.
I bought a Lady and the Tramp DVD two years ago, it stated Region 1 but turned out to be a bootleg from Asia (again!). I noticed because I by misstake put it in my Region 2 player and it worked as well as in any other DVDplayer I tried. And the Lady and the Tramp DVD in USA was not released in Regionfree mode as far as I know!
So the bootleggers put Region 1 on their discs (I think actually copy the disc art from the original and put it on their discs too!). :x

Yes, I know. But if a DVD only does play in a region1 player then it is not a bootleg.

Could someone please explain the differences between "Classic, Platinum, etc" in all the different editions?
