I despise extremists who have a warped view of life. I couldn't imagine living like that--it must be unbearable. And even worse for those who have live with someone like that (my mom recently went on a religious binge and starts an argument over anything even when I'm not talking about religion; nowhere near the same thing, but it shows how stubborn and blood-thirsty these kind of people can become). I simply have no use for people like this.

I know this is not PC but I can't find ANYTHING remotely inspiring or attractive about that religion! I wish someone could convince me otherwise.

.... okay, and how would he suggest killing fiction? This guy does realise Mickey isn't real, right?
How about this one: Indoctrination must die. If it doesn't, the Middle East will never be able to move past the medieval age they're currently living in.
According to Islam all mise are soldiers of Satan? I wish people would realise these ancient books are fiction. It's not real. God and Satan aren't battling it out, there are no 72 virgins. It's all crap made up by higher ups of that time to keep the masses dumb and quiet.
Reading stuff like this... I seriously wonder what's keeping up the mothership to come and take me away from this insane planet.

Geez and here I thought that kind of stupidity died after the Salem Witch Trials.
"If a mouse falls into a pot of food – if the food is solid, you should chuck out the mouse and the food touching it, and if it is liquid – you should chuck out the whole thing, because the mouse is impure.
Yeah, I'd toss out food if a mouse was running in it too...not because its Satan's soldiers, but probably because it urinated and defecated in the food and those are not the kind of "sprinkles" I want to see in my food. Its cause disease control, not "kill Satan's army!"
Gee, I wonder if this guy ever heard of Dungeons and Dragons. I'd love to hear what he said about that for a laugh. And "bikini Olympics", shame on those women in bikinis...apparently its okay for the men to be in Speedos.

The basics of religious law quite frequently make a lot of sense. The Holy books contain much common sense - some of which might even have been less obvious at its time than it is today, and therefore even more useful. Mice are indeed quite filthy creatures and could be bad for your health - they should definitely not be allowed in your food or even in your house.
But claiming that Mickey Mouse is a Soldier of Satan and possibly even believing it is ridiculous.

It's all a load of propaganda circulated by that notorious infidel Oswald el Rabbit in his bid to unseat the Mouse and claim his rightful place on the Disney throne...

If they think Mickey Mouse is Satan...wait until they hear of Donald the Duck with no pants
*Note I do Not support this that either Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck is in anyway related or friends with Satan... [/quote]

Didn't think about that - the one behind this conspiracy is the Killer Rabbit himself!

The guy is clearly a broken record, I consider myself to be a moderately pious person and I can officially confirm that this load of rubbish has absolutely nothing to do with my religion.
We can't kill something as harmless as a mouse, that is sinful, if they bother us we just get a mousetrap and we take them out of the house.
This guy is preaching about the opposite of everything that I have been taught about Islam, to prison an animal and starve it for pleasure would send you straight to hell let alone kill it.
PatrickVD, I take it that you don't know squat about Islam, otherwise how can you say that some 1.5 billion people share beliefs and a lifestyle that is fake and just a load of crap ?
What you just wrote is just really sad and insensitive.
I am ashamed by the western perspective of my religion, the media is continuously showing western viewers the negative aspects of Islam just to grab your attention, when I was alone at the Eiffel Tower this summer, a couple asked me to take a picture of them, and I of course took their picture, but after my cell phone rang, I was talking Arabic with my Mom, and they were looking at me like I was the Antichrist. Also there were a couple from the U.S poking fun about Islam right behind me, even though it really hurt me a lot from the inside when I saw them again up in the last platform just when I was about to leave the top floor, I didn’t give them any look of hatred, I actually smiled at them in a friendly way and just when I was going down the elevator I can tell that they wanted to say that they were sorry, at that same moment I remembered my prophet, Mohamed (peace be upon him).
He used to have a neighbor who used to throw garbage at the prophet’s doorstep out of pure hatred, and he would do it on a daily basis, the same man was sick one day, so the prophet went to visit him to make sure he’s alright, he has shown kindness effortlessly to that same person who made his life more difficult than it already were, how can people portray a man like this to be evil ?
carolinakid I strongly encourage you to learn more about my religion, I don’t blame you for thinking that way about it but I can assure you that terrorism and sexism were never part of my religion and they will never will be.

Thank you for your post, Jack Skellington. It is frustrating and it hurts when people assume all Muslims are like that.

Great post Jack! There are extreemists in every religion. Do all Christians bomb abortion clinics and stand outside gay soldiers funerals spouting "Faggots go to hell"?
Definitely NOT. There are morons and bigots in every religion. People who read the Bible and twist the words to fit their agendas.

I think the Phelps' funeral signs say "God hates fags." which Islamic extremists also believe. Remember, the president of Iran himself said there are no gay people in his country. Being gay is a crime punishable by extreme measures (if not death) in many Muslim countries. Although my Christian neighbors may tell me I'm going to hell for loving another man, I don't fear for my personal safety with them as I would in a Muslim majority environment. Having lived in Indonesia, Egypt and the American Bible Belt (Tennessee), that's my own lived experience.

I think lack of better knowledge is a universal problem. For example, Mickey Mouse is a fictional character that only American children and SOME adult Americans enjoy (Donald Duck and Goofy are MUCH more relatable characters. Are ducks and dogs ALSO in the aliance of Nazis and Satan and Darth Vader to kill Santa Clause?) Also, only some Americans eat hamburgers and doughnuts, and SIMPLY because we don't have laws to kill gay people and make force our women to cover every inch of their skin doesn't mean all American's are alright with that stuff.
Equally, not all Middle Eastern people are terrorists who hate Americans.
Jack Skellington, thank you for that post. While reading some of these messages I worried some people might feel offended and that we were sounding ignorant. Honestly, I don't think anyone who said anything negative about your religion really meant it. That extremist kind of hit below the belt: Mickey Mouse is a fictional children's character for crying out loud! And the people who read that (myself included) felt angry.
I guess we should all be greatful that in America, that we're free to believer what we want to believe and live our lives the way we want to live them. Myself, I feel sorry that they have laws as ridiculous in place as to kill gay people. However, I find it very hard to sympathize for these extremists who act like angry children with guns and bombs.

Which is kind of besides the point. Free will allows people to live outside the restraints of another person, to the point that they do not cause harm. Meaning that it's entirely pointless to judge or worry yourself over another individual's actions in the first place. The only actions that matter are your own. Which is the problem I have with most Islamic countries--they basically make the law an enforcement of a religion. I am a Christian myself, but I don't ever want it to be enforced by a government.

Yeah, I was doing a slightly off-topic rant for a moment or two. But I agree that religion and state MUST be kept seperate. Good morale is important, but there are many religions, and no person should decide which religion is THE ONLY religion for a country. That's dealing with the eternal jewels of sooooo many people, (even if anyone here doesn't believe in souls and afterlife, there are people who do).
Anyways....

There are crackpots and extremists in almost every religion and I think a good majority of people realise that and don't penalise the whole religion. Certain have received worse treatment than others recently though, because of the actions of the minority. Either way, Mickey Mouse rocks
