NOTE: I did a search for "favorite Pixar character" and found nothing, so mods if there's already a thread please merge it with this.

Like the title says, rank your favorite Pixar characters!

I admit this is going to be a hard one since I enjoy nearly all of them, from the sidekicks to the main characters. So while this will be a top ten ALL of them are winners in my book.

So let's begin...

1. Sulley (Monsters Inc.)
I love, love, LOVE this guy. He's a big, scary, hairy guy but with a heart of gold. His animation is outstanding and the voice (John Goodman) was perfect. I always crack up when he thinks the trash compactor is killing Boo and always go "Aw" at the end when he hugs Boo good bye. He's the best "big lug" character ever created and my all time favorite Pixar character.

2. Remy (Ratatouille)
Like Sulley before him his animation and voice are top notch. If you want a modern example of the "plausible impossible", Remy is it. He behaves like a rat, yet acts like a human being. Its amazing. Plus, I love what the character stands for; believing in yourself and your talents even if the odds are against you.

3. Mater (Cars)
OK, so he's one big red neck stereotype. But I can't help but love the guy! He's funny, and once again the voice is stupendous (even if its a G-rated version of Larry the Cable Guy), plus he has a warm heart. He's basically a big kid stuck in an adult's body.

4. Wall.E
He's recent, yet a great example of how to do an animated character. He's funny, he's cute and you actually root for him. His reactions are priceless and proof that sometimes characters don't need to be overly chatty to be likable.

5. Bruce the shark (Finding Nemo)
Yet another big lug that I love. Once more, his animation and voice acting is great to say the least. I honestly wish he appeared more in the movie as his lone scene was perhaps the best in the whole movie. I don't care if he went psycho near the end of the scene, I still love him!

6. Edna Mode (The Incredibles)
Who DOESN'T love Edna? This is another character I wish had more scenes. Yet, I think she did just fine. Her scene with Pierce Brosnan at the Oscars was GREAT! XD

7. Rex (Toy Story)
In case you failed to notice I LOVE big guys who aren't the stereotypical tough guys. Rex is so funny and I like his nervous dinosaur act. But what sold me was his line about being a Mattel doll.

8. Emille (Ratatouille)
Lovable fat guy. That's all what Emille is. Yet, he truly is a character that is divided. He supports Remy's dreams, but is afraid of getting his father upset. His extended appearance in "My friend the rat" was great!

9. Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story)
I admit I love the first movie Buzz more than the second movie Buzz, only because his delusional mighty toy act was great and truly believe that he was happier being a space ranger than he is being a toy. Still, he's an awesome voiced by a great guy.

10. Tuck and Roll (A Bug's Life)
Say what you want about the movie. It had some great characters, and Tuck and Roll were mine. I just love their mock accent speech and at times I wanted to imitate it!

YOU'RE FIRED!

Just quickly thinking back:

Emile (Ratatouille) - awww he was so cute, supportive and confuzzled. Too bad there wasn't enough of him! It was nice to see a character who wasn't so full of himself in the film. His father was also a great character.

WALL-E, the cockroach and EVE (WALL-E) - Just great chemistry between all of them. Despite being robots (minus the cockroach)! Earth is totally WALL-E's domain, whilst space was EVEs, and they understood this of each other rather respectfully. It was great to see their roles reversed in the second half of the film.

Boo (Monsters, Inc.)- Her last line in the film was a tear jerker. And the scene where Sully has to say goodbye! Amazing, simply AMAZING voicework for a child! The animators/Pete Docter knew exactly what they wanted with this toddler character and achieved it so convincingly.

Considering he's on my list, I must not find him annoying. I think that's the best reply I could come up with... :?

Because I had to reply anyway, I'll just put the thought-out list here:

1. Edna Mode from The Incredibles
2. Anton Ego from Ratatouille
3. Elastigirl/Helen Parr from The Incredibles
4. The Queen from A Bug's Life
5. Celia from Monster's Inc.
6. Syndrome from The Incredibles
7. Heimlich from A Bug's Life
8. Mr. Potato Head from Toy Story
9. Roz from Monster's Inc.
10. Mr. Waternoose from Monster's Inc.

I can't really give long explanations of why, because Pixar films aren't as "dear" to me as Disney ones. This is excluding WALL E, though I doubt any characters from that movie'll make my list anyway. And, no, I didn't like any of the characters from Cars or Finding Nemo.
