Will all of the "Disneyland" episodes be released through the treasures?

To my knowledge, there are no concrete plans to release a "Disneyland set" per se, but I imagine they will all surface somewhere eventually.

"Tomorrowland" (out in May) will feature all of the "Future" themed episodes. Davy Crockett's tin featured those episodes with him (obviously); and the Disneyland USA one featured some TV stuff as well. Finally, "Behind the Scenes at the Walt Disney Studio" had some stuff, including the "Plausible Impossible" one.

The ones that are not already on Treasures sets, or other SE DVDs (I know the Sword in the Stone US has a complete episode, for example; as does the upcoming Alice in Wonderland Masterpiece Edition) are all in archives somewhere, and it is one of my wishes to see them all out on some kind of DVD at some stage.

I'm not sure what it is....Walt, the wholesome cheesiness of it all or the fact that Davy Crockett was launched there....just really dig them.

The Treasure are re-relased at Costco.
But in the future I don't think they will take them out again.
Maybe in 10 years from now.
Who knows.

A question:
Are you asking about every program of the show, that concerned or was about the themepark Disneyland, or do you speak of all the shows produced with that name?

If it´s the latter, then we will NOT see them all on Treasure Sets.
This due to that there is TOO MANY of them. One show (in general) every week through the years 1954-1958 - then it only changed its name and continued as a show during many many years.

But maybe you meant it in the first sense... 8)

Oh, right now I remembered that there is a complete episode of the series on the OLD YELLER Vault Disney Edition DVD.
"Best Doggoned Dog in the World" which include the featurette ARIZONA SHEEPDOG.
Good to know!

I was going through the vault disney DVD's. On the second disc in Production Archives there are "disneyland" episodes. Also I am interested in almost all of the episodes.

These are the episodes I have found so far:

Disneyland (treasure)
"Plausible Impossible"
"Ticks of our Trade"
"The History of Animation
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
part of "Monsters of the Deep"
some animation from "Operation Undersea
Davy Crockett
All are from Disneyland
Old Yeller
"The Best Doggoned Dog in the World"
Swiss Family Robinson
"Adventure in the Making"
Sleeping Beauty
"Four Artists Pain one Tree"
"The Peter Tychaikovsky Story"
Sword in the Stone
"All about Magic"

Hi,

I´m very interested in the "original" tv-shows on dvd, too. The problem chernabog already named is that there are far too many for a regular dvdset like the treasure tins. Maybe some of you are interested in some tv-figures I´ve collected for writing a "complete Walt" story. Here are some of them (no guarantee and subjectiv opinion) - as "original" I´ve defined the tv-shows with Walt Disney as host with the exclusion of reruns of programs shown earlier in a season and tv-versions of original movies from the cinema (like "Alice in Wonderland" e.g.). So here are my figures:

1.) The "Disneyland" TV Series:

- 82 "original" shows
- first episode "The Disneyland Story" (10/27/1954)
- last episode "Magic Highway U.S.A (05/14/1958)

2.) The "Walt Disney Presents" TV Series:

- 76 "original" shows
- first episode "Elfego Baca-The Nine Lives Of E B" (10/03/1958)
- last episode "The Title Makers/Nature´s Half Acre" (06/11/1961)

3.) The "Walt Disney´s Wonderful World Of Color" TV Series:

- 108 "original" shows
- first episode "An Adventure In Color/Mathmagic Land" (09/24/1961)
- last episode "A Salute To Alaska" (04/02/1967 - last show with Walt)

 Sad but true - around 266 tv shows + tv specials like "Operation Wonderland" or "Dateline Disneyland" are too much for a regualar release. Hope there will be a solution to the problem - maybe a special disney collector´s label releasing very limited edtitions of the show - that would be very cool. If somenone´s interested I´d like to discuss that in a new post.

There was the Disneyland Anthology on LD put out a few years back. I imagine a similar set would be the place to start for DVDs as well.

Two of the eps are on--or soon will be on--DVD. But when has Disney has problems repressing material?

You can usually find it on ebay for a goodly chunk of change.
