How did Prince Edward get money when he was in our world? :)

I am talking about the movie Enchanted :)

When Gisell came into our world Robert gave her some money and he let her stay at his house and everything. But what about Prince Edward?

Prince Edward was staying in a motel and it must have either been him or Nathaniel that checked them in. So how could they check in without any USA money. They also would have no credit card, no I.D. ect. > Also before we saw Prince Edward and Nathaniel in the hotel they were eating in some place in New York, so how did they pay for the food?

I am curious if anyone else has thought of this when watching this film? :)

lol. You're cute. :) Anyway, once we get passed the fact that its a movie, and a bunch of animated characters come to life, and we don't question that, my guess is that just like they and their clothes everything they brought with them turns real so the prince's "fake/animated" money would turn real! And he could buy stuff. Or you know he could just pawn a diamond or something, Im sure he had them lying in his pocket. lol. :)

I've wondered this too, but since he's a prince I would assume he has gold coins or something like that on him.

And even if he didn't he's so charming and lovable how could you NOT give him free stuff?

The movie showed the prince working as a busboy or waiter at a diner, and Nathaniel was working various jobs (although he was trying to get to Giselle).

Edward wasn't a busboy/waiter. He was a customer! :P

Which I didn't understand at all. How did he manage to get all those jobs, then abandon them so easily?

I wondered about this when I saw it in the theater (but it never bothered me since). However, he not only gets a room at "The Grand Duke Motel", but he eats lunch (where Pip tells him about Nathaniel and Narissa's plan). Here's my main explanation:

Throughout the course of the movie, Nathaniel has five jobs:

1) Cook at the lunch place (where Narissa gives him the apples)
2) Popcorn guy at Central Park (when he gives Giselle the caramel apple)
3) Waiter at Bella Notte (when he give Giselle the apple martini)
4) Cab driver (when he's getting advice from the talk show host about Narissa)
5) Writer (in the closing montage he writes the book "My Royal Pain")

Therefore, I just figured that with all those jobs, he was bound to have gotten some money, which is how he got all the different costumes he had, and how he was able to pay for the food Edward ate, as well as the room at the hotel.

Of course, "The Grand Duke" hotel was pretty run down, they may not have had to pay much to get in.

Giselle didn't know she was coming to New York, and living in the forest, didn't have any money anyway.

The Prince, being a prince, would have had a moneybag with him, especially if he though he might need it in a strange land.
I just looked through the movie, and Nathaniel actually grabs the moneybag when he leaves the hotel, he jingles it a bit and hides it under his coat.

Like all the seemingly-illogical acquisitions in Disney films, one special ingredient was used by Prince Edward to get American money:

DISNEY MAGIC

Or maybe some child saw him, the shouted: "Mom! Look! It's a real prince!' The women looked at he and then said - "Darling, it's only a poor boy who lost his mind (or somethnig like that). Because he is so poor, give him your pocket money..."
I wouldn't be shocked if someone thought that Edward is crazy and give him money for terapy... It was New York, after all.
