I saw one copy of Disney Treasures: Behind the Scenes of Walt Disney's Studios at a store near me and I wondered if it is good, I don't have any of the treasures therefore I don't know what to expect. It looked really cool and interesting, does anyone know any info about it?

If the price is reasonable Kelly, BUY IT! Or ask for it as a birthday present.

Behind the Scenes at the Disney Studios features the feature film, The Reluctant Dragon. Its really a fun little movie that takes a man who wants (or actually DOESN'T want) to present a book to Mr. Disney so it can be made into an animated feature. The film takes you on a behind the scenes tour of the Disney Studio and freatures several animated segments.

The set also contains three episodes of the Disneyland television program that deal with how they made animated movies. I think this is a great set for nostalgia buffs, Disney fans and anyone who loves to see behind the scenes sort of things. I think its worth getting for the feature alone. Keep in mind though that the feature is really old, 1941, and also not all of the information in it is 100% accurate. As Maltin says on the disc, its a case of being a showman first, documentarian second.

I saw a copy of Behind the Scenes at Music World last week. I didn't have any money with me, and when I went back this week, it was gone. I was afraid to tell everyone here because I knew they'd be disappointed in me  .

But cut me some slack! I'm new at this!

Personally, I'd highly recommend it to any Disney buff.

As Maerj brought out, there's both a feature film, and episodes from the Disneyland TV show. First, let it be said that there are numerous excerpts from the Disneyland episodes on other Disney DVDs (Snow White, Fantasia, etc.) - so if you already have those DVDs in your collection, you have most of the content from those shows.

However, I think "The Reluctant Dragon" is worth the purchase alone. It basically shows off the entire Disney studio, which is the second best thing to actually seeing it first hand. Plus, it has an amusing animated sequence at its finale with I'm sure no Disney fan would want to miss.

For those who don't regularly check the Trade forum, I have a brand new 'Behind The Scenes' available for Trade / Sale.

I'd be willing to beat retail costs. You can email at Dooks21@Hotmail.com if interested.
