I had heard that the next book in the Imagineers' Guide series was to feature Disneyland and be released sometime this summer. Anybody got any info? I also heard Disney's Hollywood Studios was to be the subject of the 2009 guide. Any news? Thanks...

Acoording to Amazon the Disneyland book will be released November 4, 2008, followed by Hollywood Studios on April 28, 2009.
I am a HUGE fan of these books, and have read all three currently available (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom) at least 3 times each already. So much great info for such a relatively low price!

These books look really cool and informative. Do you think i would be able to find them at my local book store?

Probably - I've seen them at some Barnes and Nobles and Borders, in the travel section with the other Disney park books. If they are not in stock, they could probably order them for you.
Also, the parks themselves at WDW stock these, so you could also get them there on your trip. In my experience each park usually just stocks the book pertaining to that park - so the Epcot or AK book might not be found at the MK, for instance. But the World Of Disney store in Downtown Disney usually has all 3.
These books have a lot of info about the design of the parks, the "backstory" behind the attractions, "hidden" symbolism, and why things are designed a certain way. They really make one appreciate how much DETAIL and THOUGHT were put into the design of the parks, which is one of the things that make the Disney parks unique.
