THANK YOU, DISNEY!!

They have made the 2007 Goofy short, "How to Hook Up Your Home Theater," available for purchase on iTunes:
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSt ... 0&s=143441

This appeared in theaters in 2007, shown right before "National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets."

Never seen a new Goofy "How To" series, but please for the love of god, don't post it on YouTube, because they will take it down for copyright problems. I guess Disney doesn't like uploading them onto YouTube. If you want to see it, go get it on iTunes.

This new Goofy short is not released on DVD yet, but it's happening!

I wish someone would put it on youtube (or anywhere else for that matter) I dont care if if gets taken down, I only need it to stay up long enough for me to watch it, and even download it.
its impossible to find from what I can tell. partly due to its name alone. try typing in that title, all you'll find are tutorials on how to hook your home theater. ha ha. sometimes I wonder if that was intentional; to name the short in a way that no one would be able to find it easily.

I still wish they had gone with the original plan of attatching it to Enchanted. I was really dissapointed that they changed their minds on that. and I wasnt about to watch National Treasure 2 just to see it.

I'll put it on YouTube so it won't be deleted... but I'd need a decrypted iTunes video or something.

Just put a disclaimer like "This video is copyrighted 2007 by Disney, all rights reserved" and it will almost never get removed. It worked with VIZ Video (producers of Pokémon) who remove everything Pokémon BUT the ones with disclaimers.

That is one pet peeve of mine... Disney releasing movies without the theatrical short... that was one of my all-time favorite shorts too...

Don't do iTunes, didn't go to see the film, so if it appears on UTube, let me know so I can view it ;)

What a shame ... I have ITunes, but the Dutch version, and all the movies it offers so far for downloading is some pixar shorts.

Anyway, I cannot burn it on a DVD...but it would be fun watching the Goofy short on my computer. I've downloaded 'One man's band' before.

Thanks for the link Mouseketodd!

Downloaded it, still as fun as it was 7 months ago with NT2. Not as good as having it on an official DVD, but at least it's the next best thing.

I downloaded it a few days ago and watched it on my laptop. Then tonight, I watched it with my family on our AppleTV. I love that thing. It was as good as having it on DVD, so I don't mind that it's only available on iTunes.

Hey guys, drfsupercenter says he's going to put it up on youtube. I for one don't want to risk getting my account deleted again, but he says he knows how to avoid that. so I'll leave that up to him to upload.

But what I did do was upload a divx version to this site called StageHD. its still in its early stages (no pun intended) so its often slow and might stop working every now and then, but it'll keep getting better in time I'm sure.

But yeah, heres a link to it. You'll need the Divx web player in order to play this. enjoy.

(mods, if this is against the rules, feel free to delete this post)

If you cant get this to play or are having trouble and you'd rather wait for drfsupercenter's youyube version, be my guest.

On a totally random note, I put both this and Presto on an SD card and can now play them via a homebrew hack on my wii (connected through component cables, naturally). quality wise it couldnt look any better. *drool*
until/unless a 1080 P version is released of course.

Edit: also, has this ever been pointed out? a caricature of John Lasetter makes a quick appearance in this short.

I'm the one who uploaded it...

Be patient, though, I'm working on making it higher quality (currently there's no "view in high quality" option for whatever reason)

Thanks go to Kyle for buying it and decrypting it for me... all I did was encode it and upload.

--EDIT--

Appears there are two uploads... this one which I have no control over and this one which I uploaded.

I can also just upload an AVI somewhere... I have my own server so it shouldn't be a problem.

wow, FINALLY I get to see it.

It wasn't in fron of National Treasure 2 here in Holland (thank you Disney)

I thought it was really funny and old school. I would love a Donald short. Preferbly with Chip and Dale. That would be heaven.
