I was intrigued by what I read about this movie at imdb. I've never even heard of it, but it sounds great! Apparently, it's out on VHS in Europe and I found one place in Germany where you can order a ridiculously overpriced (something like $80-90 US) copy:

Oh, yes, forgot to mention: The VHS cassette is in English, but made for viewing with the European PAL system. Just so you know.

Hi,
I looked up Secret of Pirate's Inn in my copy of The Wonderful World of Disney Television A complete History by Bill Cotter, copywrite 1997; and here's what it says in the book.
"Airdates - Part 1: 11/23/69, 7/05/70, 4/14/74. Part 2: 11/30/69, 7/12/70, 4/21/74.
Cast: Ed Begley (Dennis McCarthy), Charles Aidman (Carl Buchanan), Jimmy Bracken (Scott Durden), Annie McEveety (Tippy Durden), Patrick Creamer (Catfish Jones), Paul Fix (Vern Padgett), Bill Zuckert (Sheriff Wiley), Anne Whitfield (Margaret Durden).
Dennis McCarthy has the sad duty of settling his brother's affairs following his untimely death. He stays at his brother's home, the Pirate's Inn in Calliou Bay, Louisiana, and soon begins searching for the legendary lost treasure of pirate Jean Lafitte."
Hope this helps some.

What makes you say so?
Why would they put it on DVD when they have not released it on VHS at all?
I found a VHS copy of this on Ebay but I had realy luck with me because the seller made a mistake and did not have it after all.
But he was selling of his whole collection because he was copying the movies to DVD and did not need the VHS anymore (This does not sound perfectly leagal

)
So to make me happy he offered to send me a copy of it on DVD for free and I could pay him for the costs if I liked it. Today I got it and boy was I supriced by the quality. I bet I could not have gotten that from my own VHS player.
I have not seen the movie yet, but it looks great from the story.
I have to say I love this forum, I would not have heard of this movie without you guys.

Also I don´t think this will see any DVD release in the nearest future!
It´s not at all remembered to that point so it should be actual with a DVD release of it. Many more famous films are waiting to get a release before this one.
