Another terrific holiday is over, but that doesn't stop me from reliving fond memories of the past. HKDL Source presents the epic trip report of Mr Richard Gray (that's me) for public consumption. Having spent the previous weeks in the two US parks, how did our Hong Kong Disneyland park measure up? Plus witness the epic meeting of a reporter and his Chief Spy!

Also, a complete range of photos from the HKDL leg of the trip can be found here:

Enjoy!

Also, for those interested parties, here are the photos for the rest of my trip: Disneyland; Las Vegas; New Orleans; WDW and New York!!! (Being updated as we speak)

Awesome trip review; I enjoyed reading it!

Which was your favorite part of the trip?

I really enjoyed reading your report and the pictures, Loomis!

Was the HSM show in English? And were the fliers and audio announcements in both Chinese and English?

Why isn't the Stitch Encounter poster in Chinese? (I'm apparently very interested in how the languages are in the foreign Disney parks.)

The pictures labeled "Main Street Windows"- was there it's a small world merchandise in those stores, or were those pictures just there because that attraction recently opened? Either way, they are very cute pictures! (I think I can answer my question based on the picture labeled "IASW Merchandise"...)

And, I must say, you look a lot like my cousin-in-law. It's eerie. :)

Thanks for the nice trip report, Loomis! It was enjoyable to follow you around Hong Kong Disneyland with you, especially since I probably won't be going to a Disney park anytime soon.

I was wondering about those sticker books you mentioned. Is that like Pin trading here at the US parks? Do you just ask cast members for stickers? I'm assuming there are different kinds other than the Mickey Mouse and Mickey head ones they give at WDW.

Thanks again and I'm excited for the new construction of HK Disneyland. I hope to go to Hong Kong after I graduate college!

Yes, it was new to me too. There are a bunch of different stickers - hundreds it would seem - that you can find by asking various cast members around the park. My companions for the day seem to have the whole process sorted, and fixed my up with a few dozen in the few short hours we were together.

Plus, if you love those construction photos, you should check out this new thread I've just started...
