Hi, and welcome to the 5th Annual UltimateDisney.com Forum & Member Awards!

Over the last four years, these awards have become something of a tradition here. We've had a lot of fun with them and I hope that can continue. The Annual UD Forum Awards are a chance for all the posters here to recognize each other's contributions to the always-fun, always-informative community that is the Ultimate Disney Forum.

The rules are simple and are the same as last year's. You may submit up to FIVE nominations in each of the categories that appear below. Nominations must be emailed to awallaceunc@gmail.com to be valid - no PMs accepted. Please make "5th Annual UD Forum Nominations" your subject line. You may not nominate yourself for anything, nor can you nominate a thread/review/idea that you authored. Of course, past winners may be nominated and win again. For those of you concerned, I won't be scrutinizing your nominations and your submissions will be kept completely secret.

Remember, the intention here is not to pit anyone against anyone else or hurt anyone's feelings. There are a LOT of people participating and only a few can be nominated and even fewer can win. You never know how many votes may have come in for you! Play nice and remember that it's all in good fun. So please, no hurt feelings.

Important: "Of The Year" is defined as 5/08/07 - 5/23/08. Only reviews/threads/topics/etc. posted in that time frame are eligible.

Everyone is encouraged to put a lot of thought into this and consider more than just the last month or two.

Please do not post anything about who/what you are nominating in this thread. We want to keep things mysterious.

After they have been sent and tabulated, the official nominations will be posted in Off-Topic for you to vote on. The number of final nominees selected for each category will vary, depending on the numbers received, though the goal is always 3-5 for each (not always possible).

This year, the ceremony will take place all in one night, rather than spread out over several weeks as has been done in the past. That should help alleviate some of the silliness that marred last year's ceremony.

**There will also be one honorary award given to a member in a special category. You may submit any ideas, suggestions, or nominations for this as well. (This category will be different than last year's, though the same person is still eligible)**

Having signed up later, it looks like I missed out on last year's UD awards, but after reading the old thread, it certainly looks like this'll be a lot of fun.

I was thinking about not doing it this year, but since you asked, we'll have it again. I've updated the first post.

As for signing up to present categories, a separate thread will be started for that soon.

I have decided to become the first member to actively campaign for member of the year. It is time to put an end to the absudely long streak Luke has. It really isnt a competition at all. Anybody want to act as campaign manager?

Some of you may call it outrageous, tacky, lacking in good taste but I say it is time to end the streak.

So remember vote Toadie for member of the year. Oh yeah, and also for avatar of the year. Just take a look at that beauty. How could you not love it, an absolute abstract piece of art that shows us the true meaning of life.

I think this is the first year I've noticed active "For Your Consideration" campaigns being done. I think I'll skip that bandwagon...well, except for Mr. Toad's (but no, I won't be campaign manager. Just the guy wearing the big board and walking down the street with a cowbell).

Also, Aaron, I hate to keep asking questions, but for the special category, if we have an idea for a category/award, do we also have to list nominees? Or would you have to consider which category(or categories) to do, then have people submit nominees for them? Cause I've got a few really good ones that I'll be sending your way when I finish the noms, and I don't know if I should include nominees or just the categories themselves...
