Britney-Themed Glee episode in the works

"Glee" creator/writer Ryan Murphy tells ET that the show is currently in the middle of writing a Britney episode.

"Glee" is performing a "big tribute" episode after next year's Super Bowl, but did not reveal who it will be, only saying "close" after ET guessed Michael Jackson.

No word if Britney herself will appear.

I am a huge fan, have all her albums, dvds and singles (even the singles box from last year), and seen her twice on tour. Awesome.

Perez Hilton is reporting that the episode will revolve around Heather Morris' character, Brittany, and that it will be the second episode this upcoming season.

Excited for the Britney episode on Glee and I can't wait for her 7th album.

According to the Glee panel at Comic-Con, the episode will be titled "Britney/Brittany" and will feature six songs.

Despite Darkchild announcing that Britney fans have 'something to look forward to' in a few weeks, Adam Leber, Britney's manager has said the news was not true, and it 'wasnt cool' for any producers to say otherwise. He said the actual people working on her album and keeping quiet.

BUT

He said Britney has a magazine cover and spread coming out in the next month or so !!! Britney is going to tell us herself, via Twitter soon apparantly. Probably to conincide with her new perfume, Radience, due in Septmber. Very excited !!

And also, a whole bunch of fansites have got a count down timer running, leading up to the date of (I think) August 26th ? No one knows what it is for ......

I think it's the 27th, and the skeptical side of me says it has to do with that dan site and not Britney herself. I'm kind of excited about the magazine cover after the ridiculously photoshopped cosmo (Britney's face and body were like three different pictures in one). It's supposed to be a really good photo shoot. As from Adam's tweet, I had kind of thought he meant no new music "news". Oh well, guess I was wrong. I'm dying to listen to her new music, or to at least know when it's coming.

Britney Spears Set To Release New Single “Hold It Against Me” On Tuesday, January 11th

Song Will Debut Simultaneously At Radio And On The U.S. iTunes Store At Midnight (EST) On January 11th

New York, NY- Britney Spears’ new highly anticipated song “Hold It Against Me” will premiere simultaneously on radio stations and be available immediately in the U.S. exclusively on the iTunes store, Tuesday, January 11th at 12AM EST.

“Hold It Against Me” is produced by Britney’s long-time collaborators Max Martin and Dr. Luke and is the official lead single from her forthcoming album. The as-yet-untitled seventh studio album is slated for release in March, 2011 on Jive Records.
