The Legendary Miss Britney Spears

Post by Atlantica »

There is so much positive energy in Britney's life right now, I thought there should be a new thread to celebrate this, and everything good that she has going for her right now.

~ Britney is preparing for Blackout : The Special Edition, and is in the recording studio supposedly recording new material for the record, to be released in the Summer.

~ The singles 'Gimme More' and 'Piece of Me', as well as being critically acclaimed, have gone Platinum.

~ Blackout has shot back up the charts (top ten) again in the UK, due to the release of 'Break The Ice', which many critics feel is her best song to be released so far.

~ She is back with her old manager Larry Rudolf, who always proves to be a great influence on her life.

~ She is working out like crazy at the gym, in an effort to get fit physically again.

~ She filmed a crtically acclaimed performance on the show 'How I met Your Mother, and has just filmed a second performance in the show, due to massive public demand to see her again as Abby, the receptionist.

~ The sad, frantic and unhealthy Britney that we have seen for such a long time seems to have dissolved, and in her place, the Britney we know and love has returned, with smiles, which we hardly used to see! :

I think Britney, although she probably has a long way to go yet, is on the right road to getting better. :)

I really hope that she'll continue getting better. She had a dark period in her life, and hopefully she will move on with her head held high. As far as her career goes, she needs to prove herself and make an actual comeback, but I hope she can put the past behind her and that her fans can put her past behind them and embrace the new & improved Britney. I wish her the best.

I can't wait for her to have a 'comeback' either, but the one she currently has right now is pretty darn good ! Considering the mental state she was in during 'Piece of Me', the video was a miracle. Looking back on it now, its a wonder that she did anything at all to do with her career.

Despite the MTV awards performance, no promotion for the album (apart from a few radio interviews ), and an animated video for 'Break The Ice', Britney has delivered the album of her career so far. Under the circumstances, this was an amazing feat !

I cannot wait to hear what new material she has to offer, when she feels ready :)

Thanks for mentioning that she has a video for "Break the Ice"- I didn't know, and I just watched it on YouTube- I'll have to watch it more to understand it, but I'm thrilled that she had an animated video- people can't critize her performance in the video, since it wasn't really her!

I know that others agree with you that "Blackout" is her best album, but I have to disagree. I had been all excited to buy it, and I listened to it on MTV.com's The Leak, and only ended up downloading 6 songs. I really like those 6 songs, but half the album disappointed me. But, that's just my opinion.

While I do think Blackout is her best, I in your boat about a few of the songs. I only like half the cd the others are just :? , but I'm like that with all her albums.

She looks great and I knew this would eventually happen. She came to far to just be "Over" - I've been a fan since 98' and I know performing is something she can't be without - she gets restless, and I think now that she's healthier - she's reverting back to that Britney we knew a few years ago. I don't think she ever lost anything, she simply had a breakdown but all will be regained as we're seeing.

I also love the fact that she's getting vocal training. I certainly won't say she's the most amazing singer in the world but if she's working on her voice that's a good sign for future work.

I'm surprised she's not just putting out a new album completely and scrapping "Blackout" - BUT, it is a great album and had so much potential - I guess it's good not to waste it.

Anyway, I'm thrilled this is happening! and hope I am right and she has a proper comeback.

Thanks for posting.

Britney has filmed her next installment in 'How I Met Your Mother', as Abby. There is a clip of it online, and it looks very cute and funny, much like last time :)

Here is a picture of Britney on the set:

How wonderful does she look?! Love her :D

She has also been seen repeatedly in the recording studio ...

She looks really pretty there! I hope she's happy...

That may be a weird comment, but I just hope that everything is getting better in her life and that she's truly becoming happy and healthy.

I'm looking forward to seeing the next episode of "HIMYM" - she looks great!

Last time she was on the show she gave them the highest rating it ever had - let's see if she can pull off high numbers again.

I know! How beautiful is she?! I love her so much :)

The custody hearing at the beginning of the week went really well; the judge said, if she carries on the way she has been now, she will gain 50 / 50 custody by August. That is the best news she could receive ever. I'm so happy for her.

And she apparantly wants to have a new album out by the end of the year, in time for Christmas, which she will promote fully etc. We shall see !

Although I'd love a new Britney record, I would much prefer to see her better, fully and compleately.

I really want her to come back and blow me away. It just feels wrong to be so...indifferent about her after being a big fan since 1999. :(

Yay- I like "Radar" a lot! It's interesting that the 4 singles so far are definitely 4 of the best songs on the album...I mean, singles should be the best songs on the album, but it's great that she's putting the best songs out there for the public, and not some of the other songs.

I'm not even sure if I'm making sense...I'm glad that "Radar" will be a single- I wonder if the video will be live-action, or if she'll be in it at all...

She si going to be in it, is what I've heard. She wanted to be in the 'Break The Ice' video, but she was unable to; I'm not sure if it was for health reasons, or if she was shooting 'HIMYM' at the same time. But she wants, and is, going to be in this video !

I love Radar ; It has relly grown on me, and my friends just love it as well. My manager plays is all the time at work through our sound system ! I wanted 'Toy Soldier' to be released as well, but I don't think that will happen now. But yay for Radar though !

I just LOVE the single cover for it ... why on earth wasnt that the album cover?!

And billboard.com is reporting that Britney has been in the studio for a new album that is going to be released in time for the holiday season. Not sure if its a rumour though ...

OMG BRITNEY SUCKS!!!!

Chris Crocker: LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE YOU *********!!!!!

*Psst, sorry to have bothered! :p

OK, leaving all the jokes aside if its true that she is on the road to recovery then good for her.

I've never been a fan of hers. In fact, I think she is highly overrated as a performer. HOWEVER, it was very sad and pathetic even how she fell through very hard times. No human being, no matter who they are, deserve to be stuck in a rut as bad as Britney has.

So hopefully, Britney has learned her lesson and moves on. Unless, of course, she wishes to the butt of the joke for many more years and her only defense being a crazed internet celeb.

I'm gonna be the disagreeable one and say that I wish just about anything else was being released EXCEPT Radar. It's never been one of my favorites. I would rather have Toy Soldier as a single. (Or a re-release with Everybody not only added to the tracklisting, but released as a single too. It sucks that my favorite track has been relegated to bonus track status. :|)

I do see what you mean about Radar; I think a lot of people will love it or hate it. The music critics seemed to love it, which is a good thing.

I know, I feel the same about 'Everybody' and 'Get Back' ; why on earth were they not on the album? Its such a shame. But, on the CD single release of 'Break the Ice' in Europe, 'Everybody' was included as track 2 on the CD, which leads me to belive that it wont be on the Blackout Rerelease sadly.
