And a two-disc DVD! Glad I didn't cave and buy the non-anamorphic one disc. Here's hoping it doesn't turn into a one disc before it's released.

So, are they gonna do a new DVD instead of rereleasing the 3D version in theatres. Cause, as much as I can't wait for the blu-ray, that'll really suck considering that a couple of theatres around here just got the capability to play it about a month or so ago. Please tell me that they're gonna do a double and release both the SE DVD/ Blu-ray in addition to the 3D theatrical reissue.

Don't worry. It's been scheduled to come back since last year.

I think it's a re-release,thought they can make 2 versions (One version with the 3-D and one is the re-release) and then they can make this DVD insted of releasing the 3-D version to theather again.

See what you can get for it at a used store (or E-Bay, if your parents will let you sell it.)

It is still OOP, and the used stores like FYE might give a pretty good amount for it, or you might even make more than you paid, if you can sell it on E-Bay before everyone finds out there is a new one coming.

I'll be glad to get this, if only for the remastered anamorphic transfer and the dwindling hope that the two-disc is actually worth being a two-disc. The new extras could be interesting and hopefully would spill over to the non-TNBC material ("Vincent" and "Frankenweenie"). I'd love if "Frankenweenie" got a retrospective documentary and an audio commentary by Tim Burton, Daniel Stern, Shelly Duvall, and long-missing-from-Hollywood Barret Oliver. And perhaps there's some old animation tests and concept art for "Vincent" that has yet to surface. Regarding TNBC, in addition to new extras (stuff like "The Legacy of TNBC: 15 Years Later" or "The Disturbing Cultdom of TNBC Among The Emotional Hot Topic Youth"), maybe this time we'll get the full laserdisc documentary instead of the cutdown that appears on the single-disc SE.

Laserdisc Chapters:
The Idea
The Process
The Test
The Proof Of Concept
The Songs
The Screenplay
The Studio
The Storyboards
The Art Direction
The Sets & Props
The Characters
The Animation

DVD Chapters:
The Beginning
Music
Storyboards
Art Direction
Puppets
Animation

If they drop the trailers, I'll be pissed off. As usual. They'll probably add some demented games and activities like "Destroy The Attacking Present" or "How To Make Scary Toys".

I've got some ideas for games to be included

Oogie Boogie vs Flubber: deathmatch
(oogie'l win off course! )

Dr. Finkelstein demolition durby
(Go down scary lane and destroy christmas everywhere!)

Jack and Victor: The End is Only the Beginning
(In which our two heroes team up against everything that's not undead!)

DUMB, I know ,coulden't help myself :D

I doubt though that they will be half as lame as what we're getting!

I'll just keep my fingers crossed for a 3D version on the Bluray.

They're doing it for Hannah Montana so there's probably no reason to not make this bluray 3D, right ?
