Which of these 3 films has the scariest scenes ?
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty or Beauty and the Beast ?

Snow White is the spookiest definitely! Sure, Sleeping Beauty has some scary scenes with Malificent, especially when she turns into a dragon, but Snow white outshines it:
- scary scene with the hunter attempting to kill Snow-white
- Spooky images as Snow white runs trough the forest
- spooky scene when evil queen makes a potion to turn herself into an old hag
- Scary old hag prepares a poisoned apple and makes a cruel joke to a dried-out skeletton.
- When the evil queen/witch offers naive snow-white the poisones apple you can feel the tension.

What's spooky about BatB? The third option should be Pinocchio or Fantasia, really.

None of them are scary at all. Even as a 5-year-old, I was never afraid of any of them. But, if I absolutely had to choose, it'd be Sleeping Beauty.
You really should've put Pinocchio up there; that one was actually scary at moments.

I didn't include Pinocchio because I only wanted to compare the Princess films. I didn't really think The Little Mermaid, Aladdin or Cinderella had many scary scenes, atleast not as many as the other three.

Cinderella has scary scenes. How would you like to see a red phantom lock you inside a tower through a cracked mirror?

I agree that Snow White is probably the scariest. I hate when that old hag shows up in the window and offers her apples!!

Maybe it wasn't actually scary to anyone else, but when I was little I was petrified of King Triton when he destroyed Ariel's treasure cove. I cried and I refused to watch the rest of the movie
But Snow White is
definitely the winner.

Imagine if you were in Belle's position ? Does she look frightened ?

Ya, but I never found those scenes scary. Sure she's frightened but the scares are just not there.

Not to drag this out, but I really think that all should've been considered if it were about the Princess films in particular. I could've understood this poll more if it was simply between
Snow White and
Sleeping Beauty, but
B&tB's inclusion throws it all out of wack.

Disney's Divinity,
I guess I could have included the other Princess films but I doubt they would have got many votes, which is why I didn't... Anyways, I'm sorry if it confused you.

Snow White is really scary, as a matter of fact I beleave it was rated 12+ when it premiered in the UK, the Evil Queen turning into a Hag must be a primary reason for nightmares to little children around the world.

Sleeping Beauty, no contest.
The music is so incredibly epic, there's more atmosphere. Maleficent is way scarier. And she disappears - you know. She hides in places where you don't know she is. At least, in one incredibly scary scene. Also, in the scene where Flora suggests they turn Aurora into a flower, she mentions this theory and creates a terrifying fear that there's always someone listening to the fairies and the Princess at all times! Well, she was a baby back then, but that means you would never know whether or not Maleficent knew where they were until she was talking to her demon army. Now, the demon army isn't scary, nor is the raven, but she is absolutely terrifying.
And come on everyone, admit it now - there is no shot of the Evil Queen from Snow White that is scarier than that huge blow-up of Maleficent's face during her story to Phillip in his dungeon prison cell. There's no way. Plus, there's less comedy in Sleeping Beauty. You know it's true. Maybe that's one of the reasons why for a long time Sleeping Beauty never got the respect that it deserved. You know? It's not that funny. But it's the ultimate fairy tale Disney has ever told. Because it's very creepy. Snow White has its' moments. But it's sillier and sweeter. Sleeping Beauty is much scarier. In tone and in suggestion.

Sleeping Beauty. Somehow Maleficent is scarier...probably because she is much more powerful (with all the powers of hell). And the scene in Snow White where she turns into the old hag doesn't scare me because the animation is so wonderful. However, The Snow White ride at Disneyland creeps my out.

Come on, people - you're overthinking this too much. Sleeping Beauty has scarier music, a scarier vibe, more mystery, there are more quiet scenes, there's less humor, it's from a more dangerous era. It accesses that part of your imagination which starts to fill in the blanks, and there is nothing scarier than you thinking there's something to be afraid of.

Probably Sleeping Beauty. I found the "scary" scenes in Snow White to be laughable and not much can be said about Beauty and the Beast's scenes.

Cinderella II is even worse.
