I agree, it's a delightful set. Haven't watched all of those disc's just yet. My problem is the cardboard packaging. I always hated it, as it doesn't last long. My Harry Potter DVD's are showing signs of wear, and I am so careful with them. I prefer the plastic case with paper insert.

Usually when I get a new boxed set (Friends, Looney Tunes, Twilight Zone, Simpsons, MASH), I take out the DVD that I know I'm going to be watching over the next few days and keep it in an extra 'blank' CD case.

It saves the wear and tear of constantly opening and closing the set. ESPECIALLY for the cardboard sets that so many studios are using now.

If the disc has a lot of bonus features (or a tricky navigational system) and I'm feeling especially 'geek-y' I'll scan the bonus features, print them out, put them in the case and use it as a 'check-off list' for the features I've watched. Just to make sure I don't miss any of them.

LOL (at myself!)

Exactly what I do  Except I use blank DVD cases. I thought I was a little nutty, but I guess not so.

I agree wholeheartedly. This is the best DVD set to come out this year and one-ups the Treasures hands down.

Ok, this HAS to be the next thing I buy, no questions asked.

I just hope they release something with the "short of the century" 'One Froggy Evening' soon...

Is the Looney Tunes DVD worth buying.
I was thinking of buying it and thought it was a waste of money.
What do you think?

I can't recomend the Looney Tunes DVD (golden collection) more.
Its got hours of special features and are really good, the shots are a pretty good line up (something for everyone) and the picture and sound are pretty good.

The only thing I can think of improving the other upcoming Collectors boxsets of classic shorts (Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes Vol 2, Tex Avery, Popeye) is to have some nice liner notes about the characters/directors/release dates etc.
