Is Dumbo out of print in the UK?

It seems to be, going by most of the sites I've tried, but it is still available in the States as I saw it on Amazon.com. Also, does anyone know if we (in the UK) got the same version as the States when it was available over here, with the same extras? Or did we get a barebones version? Cheers.

I don't know if it is officially out of print (but all signs as you pointed out point to it being OOP) but the last Dumbo release (the UK got a barebones release at the start of DVD) has everything on the US disc except the commentary.

Note, there are rumours of a 2 Disc Dumbo set being released in the future.

The UK edition also was missing the two trailers, the introduction from walt and the sound design featurette.

I do hope there's a 2 disc Dumbo sooner or later because it really is one of my favourite films (disney and other wise).

Thanks for all the info on specs - although it's frustrating because it does look like being out of print. What's really annoyed me is that two days ago I found Dumbo on the Choices Direct website - it was actually in their sale! - advertised at £13. So I ordered it and received confirmation of my order. Then yesterday I got another email telling me that due to circumstances 'beyond their control' the dvd has been withdrawn. I reckon it is out of print, and they had a few copies but decided to hold onto them in the hope that people who want it bad enough will use their rip-off videohunt service! Even worse, when I went back to the site yesterday it was still advertised as being on sale, although by today the listing said 'withdrawn'.

Oh well, won't use Choices Direct again - either they want to rip people off, or they can't keep track of their own inventory. Does anyone have any further info about the 2-disc version, or is that just rumour?

I've always found Choices to be a good company. They're my UK supplier of choice.

As for the 2 disc dumbo release, it's just rumours.

However, normally Inga Tu Schmista is right on the button.

Hmmm, maybe I was a bit strong there in my criticism of Choices. Beware of anger, it leads to the...whoops, wrong pop-culture reference
