After having many opportunities to rant about how awful this guy is in English class, I was just wondering, what does everyone here think of him?

Would you like to explain why you think he is awful?

I can't stand how egotistic he is.

I had thought it might be about the artistic values of his works. He has made some fantistic movies most notably Much Ado about Nothing. So whats a matter with being egotistical if you are good at something? Nothing more annoying that an egotist with nothing to back it up but from the talented there is nothing wrong from it, in fact it is healthy. Frankly, I detest people who dont believe in themselves.

There is a difference between believing in yourself and saying all the great actors played Hamlet, when you know yourself played him in a version you created for yourself.

Well as a gneral rule all great actors do play Hamlet as it would be considered an actors greatest challenge. Nothing wrong with that. It would be generally considered a truth for actors. I thought it was one of his worst movies. Not in the class of Midsummers Night Dream or Much ado.

I think he's pretty awesome.
