Is anyone else having problems making changes to their profile? I know I and one other forum member have had problems. Anytime I try to make a change, I've been getting this message "You must fill in the required fields."

I was able to make my changes by filling in all the password fields, including the change password & confirm password fields (which I didn't use to have to do).

Luke, any idea what's causing this?

I had the same exact problem, while trying to change my avatar.

I,too, had to fill in the password fields.

I had the exact same problem. That's why the little red x was my avatar for a little while.

I also had trouble, I tried to change my avatar today and experienced problems.

Yes, I'm aware of this issue. It began when I implemented a new anti-spambot modification to the registration process. I've been very pleased with that - it has nearly eliminated the dozens of spambot registrations we used to get on a daily basis. Though the negative side effect -- the inability to update profiles -- is troubling. I looked into it the other day but didn't seem to get a fix.

If there's anything particularly pressing that someone wants updated in their profile, you can let me know here and I'll do it. Otherwise, we'll just have to wait until I can find the time to get this issue fixed permanently.

I was just trying to change my avatar and signature, but I was asked to put in required fields. It says I only need to change my password if I wanted to, which I don't, so what do I have to do?

This was discussed earlier in a different thread. Just type in your current password and don't make any changes. You'll be able to modify your avatar and signature that way.

Yeah - just put your current password in Three Times.
In the Three Separate Sections where it says a password is required,
put in the same password.

I want to be able to change my siggie, but everytime I get the link in the signature box and click 'submit', a message at the top comes up saying that I need to fill in the required fields. But I thought that was only necessary if you wanted to change your password or your e-mail and I don't want to do either of those! Help! What am I doing wrong?!

I am STILL having this problem. It has been over a month now, and it seems that other users have been able to change their profile pictures since this thread was started. Any reason why I still am unable to change my profile picture?

You're sure you're filling in the password fields?

No, I was not. I only filled in the first one because I wasn't looking to change my password. But, then I tried putting in the same password for all three of the fields and that did the trick. Thanks for the help, PeterPanFan!

Why thank you. While this might not be the appropriate place to say this, I like your signature. With the exception of Charlie Brown, I have seen all of those shows!

Hi guys, I've never had trouble uploading new avatars in the past, until now that is. I don't know what's wrong I constantly get "You must fill in the required fields." I've uploaded countless times with avatars that fit the 100 by 100 requirement and the file size is less than what is asked. I even tried to delete my avatar by ticking the box below in the edit profile section and still it come up with the dreaded "You must fill in the required fields." Could someone help me please?
