Wall-E in space

In Finding Nemo, Pixar tried to find out how to make realistic underwater scenes. As known, light behaves different in water than on land. In Wall-E, one of the creators said he wanted to make it look like it really was filmed on land with an atmosphere of air. So what when Wall-E ends up in space later in the movie? Will we see it as if we really were in space? Those who have seen images of the moon are aware of that a lack of atmosphere among other things makes even the most remote objects crystal clear, and no matter how much the sun shines, the sky is always black. And dust falls directly down on the surface in a way it does not on earth.

I am just curious if these are elements Pixar has included in the movie. If they have, there is another reason why I'm looking forward to see it.
