Just Some Specualtion About December.

I was just thinking today about the lack of December Disney DVDs announce so far this year. Usually the month of December is when Disney rolls out the sets they think will sell the best. Last year it was Pirates 3, HSM 2 and the treasures sets. But this year there is no Pirates or HSM and the treasures will come out in November instead. While thinking I came up with theories about what this might mean, and here they are:
It's Time 2 Sing and Dance (Yet) Again!: Disney is releasing High School Musical 3 to theaters on October 8th. A December release of the DVD would be too soon (unless Disney was smart enough to produce a DVD while making the movie itself) but a Blu-ray release of number 1 or a re-release of number 2 would not be hard to imagine. I think Disney in the fourth quarter of this year will really push to get us to by as much HSM stuff as we can before the fad dies out. I think this theory makes the most sense.
Song of the South?: Last year Jim Hill (I know, I know, but just hear me out) posted an article in response to the cancellation of the 60th Anniversary DVD of SotS, saying that Disney wants to delay the release to this December to include content from The Princess and the Frog to both cross promote and show how Disney has changed in the past 60+ years. IF Disney were to do this then that could explain the earlier arrival of the Treasures so that SotS could be the Disney nut DVD of the month and Disney could also focus more on how to release it now that they have already decided what they want to do with the Treasures.
Finding Nemo and The Santa Clause on blu-ray Disney has announced both these titles for blu but the haven't set a date yet. December is as good a time as any. But they already have regular DVD releases.
It would be too soon for the inevitable 2-disc set fro Enchanted, Disney doesn't release animated films in this moth (and the five already being re released this year doesn't help) and Disney doesn't usually put TV sets out in December (unless Disney is finally going to put Zorro out, but they wont because it's already on the Disney movie club) so i don't know what it could be. Still it seems a rather anti-climatic end for 2008. Your thoughts?
