Misheard/misinterpreted Disney lyrics

If there's been a previous thread on this topic here, I sincerely apologize, but I honestly did search thoroughly for one using a few different keywords.

I know we've all either misheard lyrics from various Disney musicals and mangled them ourselves, and/or heard a child's version of them. Feel free to share yours here. Here's some of mine to start us off (although I plan to return and add more later).

SLEEPING BEAUTY: Once Upon A Dream

ACTUAL LYRICS:
I know you/the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam

MISHEARD AS:
I know you/the gleam in your eyes is so familiar ugly

ALADDIN: A Whole New World
Performed by Brad Kane, Lea Salonga

ACTUAL LYRICS:
Every moment red letter

MISHEARD AS:
Every moment gets better
Every moment bed wetter

ALADDIN: A Whole New World (Aladdin's Theme)
Performed by Peabo Bryson, Regina Belle

ACTUAL LYRICS:
A whole new world with new horizons to pursue

MISHEARD AS:
A whole new world with new horizons to pruh-soo
[and then I realized that's how Peabo is actually singing it]

EDIT: I found a related thread on another Disney forum, but there weren't many contributions:

Someone in that forum misheard the African chant from "The Circle of Life" as "Big Obama, penguins are the bomb". LMAO!!!
I don't know why, but with the whole Hillary - Obama thing being in the news all day long, this made me laugh like there's no tomorrow!

Upon first hearing "Poor Unfortunate Souls," I thought Ursula sang,
"Now, it's happened once or twice
Someone couldn't pay the price.
And I'm afraid I had to
Turn them into ghouls."

The actual lyrics were "rake them 'cross the coals." I had no idea what that expression meant.

I remember that the creatures she turn merpeople into are called Polyps (i think Disney Duster said that).

The Little Mermaid - Part of Your World

What's a fire, and why does it
What's the word, BIRD!!
When's it my turn

I would argue with my mom who insisted it was 'burn'. What did she know!

I thought it was that for ages as well.

My other misheard lyric is found in "You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!"

Instead of "Take the path that moonbeams make" I heard "Think of crap and who needs wings". I had a disagreement with someone about the real lyrics in first grade.

I just found out today that it's not

"Life's a highway
Not gonna ride it
All night long"

it's
"Life's a highway
I'm gonna ride it
All night long"

Enchanted-
In True Love's Kiss,i allways thought that it's "You're BRAVEST maid i ever met" but it was "You're the FAIREST maid i ever met" and "A WEAKLING to love" is really "How WE CAME to love",by the way-does Giselle songs "FOR lips are the only things that touch" or "FOUR lips are the only thing that touch"?.

I remember getting a slap when I was 8 for saying the f word in front of my dad, I didn't know what it meant at the time but I knew it was a big deal to hear that word.

So, I misinterpreted this particular word for the one I got a slap for, she was a baddie but still that didn't stop my jaw from breaking out of disbelief LOL!!

Poor unfortunate souls
In pain, in need
This one longing to be thinner
That one wants to get the girl
And do I help them?
Yes, indeed
Those poor unfortunate souls
So sad, so true
They come flocking to my cauldron
Crying, "Spells, Ursula, please!"
And I help them!
Yes I do

Alot of people seem to think she said the F word. I always heard flocking.

Same here. My father was a sheltering type of person, to a degree. (Tis a long story.) I always heard "flocking", and never even heard the F word until middle school.

When we were little, Kram and I loved singing "Heigh-Ho", but neither of us could whistle (yet. I can whistle quite well now). Instead of whistling we'd go "Foo" for each note, because that's what the whistle sounded like. So we'd go around singing this:

Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho
It's home from work we go
Foo foo foo foo
Foo foo foo foo
Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho

Not really a misheard lyric, but a purposely mispronounced one!

Also, for some reason, I loved the song "The Perfect Nanny" from Mary Poppins, but never sang the whole thing correctly. (red is wrong lyric I'd do)

If you want this choice position
Have a cheery disposition (this o'cision)
Rosy cheeks, no warts!(no wars)
Play games, all sorts

You must be kind, you must be witty
Very sweet and fairly pretty (very pretty)
Take us on outings, give us treats
Sing songs, bring sweets

Never be cross or cruel (cool)
Never give us castor oil or gruel (or glue)
Love us as a son and daughter (Lava sassa)
And never smell of barley water (bolly/folly/holly water)

If you won't scold and dominate us (If you wills cold and dummy-nate us)
We will never give you cause to hate us
We won't hide your spectacles
So you can't see
Put toads in your bed (tubes) (bath)
Or pepper in your tea
Hurry, Nanny
Many thanks
Sincerely
Jane and Michael Banks

Lol, mine makes me sound insane, but:

In Aladdin:

Actual Lyric (from the song Prince Ali at 2:34)
A brass band and more

Wrong Lyric I though was being said:
He's a breast man.

Quoted what I also misheard. In addition, I thought the lines read, "Play games or sorts."

A friend of mine at school used to sing

"We won't hide your testicles so you can't pee"

I'm not sure if that counts...........

BUT "gets better" is already in it!!!

A whole new world
Don't you dare close your eyes
A hundred thousand things to see
Hold your breath - it gets better
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be

A whole new world
Every turn a surprise
With new horizons to pursue
Every moment red-letter
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you

And you know that something red letter means it's special and momentous, right?
