Rejoice!!! The Oscars and the 2007/2008 TV Season might be saved!!
According to rumors that already spread this week the WGA and the AMPTP are ver, very close to making a deal, as Kristin from E! online reports:

This is fantastic news! It's about time they reach some sort of agreement. This strike didn't just put the writers out of work, it put everyone involved in production out of work.

Let's just hope this doesn't put a damper on the new Big Brother season. :P

I'm praying that negotiations will be settled between the WGA and AMTP after the Oscars. It should be as long as the Golden Globe Awards -- that is, only a half-hour long. We don't need three stinkin' hours for Hollywood to announce the winners -- cut the filler and self-satisfaction.

On the movie and TV front, I couldn't be happier. There are many movies announced that will happen once the writer's strike is settled -- like Green Lantern, Animorphs (the producers are planning to shop the book series around to studios with a writer on board), and other stuff.

I sure hope the strike is over. I really want to see the Oscars, not some lame watered-down press conference like the Golden Globes.

I could care less about the oscars, I just want my full season of Lost! If it ends by the end of next week, there is still time to salvage a second half of the season for many shows.

God I hope so. I'm desparately missing The Office and How I Met Your Mother. Especially The Office, since the next episode they were going to film is supposedly the funniest one ever.

I guess most people here have already heard, but I thought I'd post it anyway: It's over! So over.
Yesterday the members of the WGA voted with 92.3% to end the strike that began on Novemeber 5th 2007 and are already back to work.
Now it all depends on how fast new scripts are finishes and episodes are shot and we'll have our shows back!! Most of them might be able to get 4-7 episodes in the can that are gonn air in April/May.
And the Academy Awards are saved as well. isn't it great?

Good news - hopefully they came to a reasonable agreement for everyone.
